OUCH - Anyone caught swinging bu family or friends? - Ran into Ms. Evil's cousin a few years ago. Were invited to an annual bbq non-swing party by a couple who WERE swingers but they said even though all vanilla sometimes the party could got quite steamy. Hung out, drank a lot and flirted with all the cute vanillas and our hosts. Suddenly (while naked in the hottub) I saw Ms. Evil's cousin walk in. I quickly alerted her and tried to dress her quickly and sneak her around the side of the house but she was just drunk enough to think it would be hilarious to say hi to her cousin. Turns out the cousin was a FWB of the hosts since high school and frequently joined them for sex. Combining Lifestyle & Non-Lifestyle Friends - - This seems a bit more "adventurous" than I would likely try. There are just such different standards ... comparing swingers and vanilla friends. Recipe for possible embarrassment, trouble ... or whatever, if you ask me.
Where Should we go? - Have flight vouchers, where is a good swinger spot? - We've been to Hedo in Jamaica, Desire in Cancun, Caliente Caribe (formerly Eden Bay) in the Dominican Republic and the Swingers Cruise - all destinations multiple times.
Our experience says it doesn't matter where you go as much as who you go with. Since there is never a large contingency going from Utah, we always try to book when there is a takeover by a group.
Every time we have been adopted as soon as we got there just as if we had always been part of their group. We also usually go the week of Halloween. It's always a nasty celebration and it's at the very end of hurricane season. We've come close but have never had trouble with the weather yet.
I think Desire in Cancun is the easiest resort to push the rules to the limit. Hedo II in Jamaica would be second. The former Hedo III in Jamaica was a bit more restrictive. Caliente Caribe has recently become lifestyle friendly after Eden Bay was purchased by Caliente Resorts. Before, they were just a nudist resort. The swingers cruises allow nudity on the pool decks but you have to be dressed anywhere else on the boat with the exception of the playroom which is on one of the lower decks. Also, you usually have to remain dressed on the day the boat is port until that evening when the boat sails. Some ports are exceptions when the boat is anchored far enough away and they take you to shore on tenders.
If you like to take pictures of you and your partner on vacation, Desire is the most friendly. Hedo really frowns on pictures even if they are of you or someone in your group with their permission. We have managed however, to accumulate thousands of digital shots from all the resorts combined over the last few years.
We have had a blast at each resort/cruise and will continue to go back. But, we've found that it's all what you make it.
Swingers unnerve families at hotel - - This is always a concerne the lifestyle gets a bad wrap when the vanila public is ofended. On the other hand it was in a public place not a compleatly private resort or island getaway. Some comon sence is needed folks Now the group that put on that event wwhich We hear puts on a great party will most likly not get back in that Hotel it is a shame.
We all enjoy the fun the freadom but folks when we are in a shared space respect is always best for all.
Its not like the kids broke in to the party to see they aparently saw things in a public lobby area.
Its always a rock and a hard place.

Our only comment on this subject is... perspective, its all about your personal perspective. If you read the bible and take it word for word then no, you can't be a Christian and be in the lifestyle. For us (and we both have a very deep religious up bringing) we believe that if Christ taught us one thing, He taught us that our relationship with God, whatever, whoever that may be, is a very personal one.
