I just apply the "Don't talk about Religion...it can REALLY cause a fight." rule when engaged in the Lifestyle. (But I guess that's what I'm doing...heheheh.) I agree with some of the comments here. I study a LOT of religions (a hobby). And this lifestyle pretty much flies against most of them (10 commandments, you name it.)
So...do what feels good and don't try and hurt anyone. We're all here because we want to be. If you don't want to do this...then don't!

Married & single? - single minded affrairs? - "The Lifestyle is for couples that love and respect each other and do this together."
So who makes these rules? Cheating is cheating...that is true. But how do you know what goes on in other aspects of the lives of the couples you meet? Can someone be "banned" from the lifestyle? I think everyone has to do what they feel comfortable with, but we shouldn't say that someone else isn't a swinger because they live their life differently. The same way many of us try to say that a cheater or a single can't be swinger if their partner is unaware, that can be equated to a Christian saying that swingers can't be Christians because even if their spouse knows it is still sex out of wedlock. Or slim people saying fat people shouldn't be called swingers because they do not find them sexy. Anyone can be a swinger, it is just up to us as individuals or couples to choose who we wish to play with, and not be judgemental or condescending to those with whom we choose not to.
Equal Treatmeat for all singles - singles - As a couple we feel that everyone should be treated the same. There are alot of males ( single or not ) that are gentlemen. And of course there are the ones that are not. We went to a swingers party once were the host was a married man (and his wife their also) that drugged all the females. So should he get away with it were he is a married man? I am a shy person and i respect people and their boundries. Where alot of married males do not. I was told about 9 yrs ago by a regular swinger in the lifestyle for yrs. that all swingers are bisexual. Which made sense, swingers are people that enjoy the fullness of sex and wants to share the diversity of it with others. So where are all the men that are comfortable enough with their sexuality to at least be interested in what women are enjoying about sex.

You know, it doesnt sound like you give your *vanilla* friends much credit. You assume *they* would not enjoy a local *off premise* swingers club. Have you ever sat your vanilla friends down and talk to them (feel them out so to speak), to see if they are looking for ways to *spice* up their relationship?
I've taken many *vanilla* women to the local swinger clubs. Ok, so some wont go back, but others are like *wow, that was fun!! I'm not into swinging and swapping, but these people are great!*
Here in the Dallas / Ft Worth area, the lifestyle is HOT and happening! There are at least 7 off premise clubs, and as many on premise clubs. Plus many swingers in the area prefer going to the *vanilla* clubs to pick up men, women, and other couples.
In MHO, IF, and I say IF, you go to a swinger club hoping/looking/expecting to pick up someone, I feel you've gone for the wrong reason. Go to have fun, meet new people, network, and IF you find someone at the club you enjoy being with, then I'm sure *as they say here in Texas* ya'll are going to have some swapping fun....
And yes, I have been part of a couple, with a few different women. Why am I not still a couple with any of them? They seem to start really getting into the lifestyle, and then they realize they're having too much fun, and scare themselves out of it.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Just watched the story on the news and was EXTREMELY relieved it wasn't aired on a Get Gephardt segment. LOL Yeah, so the lady in question said she decided to swing with her husband to save her marriage after she gained a lot of weight (guess swinging is easier than a diet or taking up jogging) and that they went to "orgies" all over Utah...naming several cities and "even Bountiful" (the story showed the Bountiful temple a few times during the piece- she said being a Mormon she felt very uncomfortable swinging in a home within view of the temple). She also claimed that she was at a house party and the hosts young kids walked in. She says she started drinking because going to parties she felt like she was in the 5th grade where you wouldn't be chosen for a team...her husband was chosen to play but she wasn't. She has to go to rehab for her drinking. Eventually she wanted to quit but her husband supposedly refused and started going out solo and gave her gonorrhea. They are now divorced. Heidi Hatch was the reporter and apparently she started a profile and was communicating with couples here on Singular (yes, they identified Swingular by name and showed numerous screen shots and even some profile names) who wanted to make sure swinging wasn't portrayed in a purely negative manner. We have been to the meet and greets too and we don't go very often and have not been to one in ages. Maybe twice a year we hit one but when we do go we pretty much introduce ourselves to everybody and if we missed someone we didn't mean to. You do have to be proactive to be successful in meeting people or at least reactive in a positive fashion when someone interesting approaches you. We have been to Habits and ended up leaving with someone, but we had already had a bit of friendly back and forth somehow with the people we left with or it was someone we met previously and had at least chatted a bit. We think we have only been there maybe five times altogether. Sounds dandy. For a limited time Mr. Delicious is sporting a now two week old full beard to contrast his shaved head. Part of a guy thing going on with some of his friends.
