Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - I agree on the difference between swinging and poly relationships. Both have their advantages at times, and their disadvantages. They are separate things, not to be intertwined, as some ppl do. Just like some swingers will do only certain things, I think that poly has many different ways to make it work, you just have to find the right ppl to be in that type of relatioship with.
I would think it would be hard to combine swinging and a poly relationship, but then I have not really tried it. Being a single female, I either get contacted by single or married guys wanting a good time, or usually some guy wanting a second female for his "harem". (Sorry guys, but just cause we are in Utah does not mean women won't want a 'harem' too! IMO). Dont get me wrong, I love sex, no strings thing is good, but is also nice to know someone cares about you and you care about someone too.

How can a single male stand out? - We single males have a (understandable) bad rep. - In light of one of the above responses I felt compelled to add that, first of all, not everyone wants a "stud". Most, in fact, want a polite, respectful, handsome and fit guy to enhance their lifestyle experience. If you are one of the all too frequent single males who mistakenly think that all or even most married guys here are basically cucks, to quote Thumper on South Park, "...you're gonna have a bad time." And yes, many women like confident men but there is a very fine line between confidence and cockiness. I guarantee that if you fall onto the cockiness side of the equation you're probably only going to hit it off with the very small minority of swingers who ARE into the cuck lifestyle. Also, don't talk or act like playing in the lifestyle is your own personal porno. The above advice goes for married guys too, by the way, but this thread is about SM's.

Well thank you! Sorry, didn't mean to come off as an old curmudgeon. It's just kind of weird to us to go to swing parties nowadays and see like a third (or more!) of the people tapping/swiping text into their phones while other people are gettin' their sexy on. Don't get me wrong. I'd rather give up beer than live without my smart phone but it seems kind of silly to be so absorbed in it when one is ostensibly at a party to hook up and have sex with other people. Question - do you talk about other swingers? - Never mention names! One thing we've found over the years is that people who swing, particularly those who belong to clubs, have too much to say about other people. I don't want to hear about it.. The people who are typically being trashed may be friends and we may have had different experiences with them. Best thing is simply the illustrated comments about what your version of swinging is. Descretion means or should mean what happens with others stays there and is not discussed. People may mesh differently with others and your experience or theirs is irrelevant. So MUM's the word.

Our favorite club is Privata in Portland, OR. Three levels of play areas of varying exposure. Go from completely private to full exhibitionism with a “bar rail” along two king size mattress. We saw people in their 20s all the way to a few in their 60s. Most were 30s, maybe 40s.
