swingin - thought this site was a swingers site - Swinging isn't just about finding people to have sex with. Yes, that is the main goal but I'd like to think that the people that I hook up with have other interest besides sex. we - at least I am here to meet people who share my lifestyle and make friends that I can chat with or just chill and enjoy each other without being pressured into anything.
Family Swingular Members - OMFG and you do a search and see a close family member on the list..... - No family, but I suspect my parents were before my dad passed. I have run in to swingers out and about 3 times. One I work with, one we were riding Trax after a Blaze game when they shut the train down and stranded us and one at another Blaze game I was at with my father in law and brother in law and we had seats right next to each other.
So, Blaze games seem to be the trigger for us.

We've almost never encountered another couple where one of us was attracted to one of them and their partner was completely unattractive. I guess if someone is reasonably attractive they're pretty unlikely to end up with someone who isn't attractive at all.
But we've also found (and yes, we're guilty of this sometimes as well) that many people sort of get in their own way, so to speak, when it comes to looking for people to play with and, often, almost look for reasons NOT to play and, in effect, end up talking themselves out of playing.
When we first started in the lifestyle it was FAR more labor-intensive (no internet swingsites) to look for other couples and there were far fewer swingers as well so if you were extremely picky you pretty much didn't ever actually end up playing. By the time most people jumped through all the hoops you had to jump thru to find other couples most people were pretty predisposed to playing, unless they were really turned off for some reason.
Now, it seems like there are just so many options, literally right at our fingertips, that perhaps it's just a little too easy to keep swiping left...always looking for the bigger, better deal. Again, don't fuck someone you really don't want to fuck but also, maybe, consider digging just a little deeper and see if you can't find something compelling about a person that could lead to a really great time in bed. Another Swingers Show on TV - - It is ch. 261 on DirecTV. there are two episodes airing on Saturday the 21st, one and 7pm, the other following at 8pm.
Calling all losers! - LS and club scene - As a single male (when we are invited), it's hard to make any connections in a LOUD club. I have some female friends (whom I'm sure that many couples would love), but inviting them to a loud "swingers" environment, isn't always attractive to them. On the other hand, a quiet, more relaxed/intimate setting is much more desirable to the women that I hang with. Also, if a couple would be willing to take a chance on a single male, dinner and drinks might be a lot less threatening for everyone involved. No expectations.... just getting to know each other.
Swinger Literature? - magazine articles, books, web articles... - One book that cums to mind instantly is "THE ETHICAL SLUT" And if you're lookin for fiction.. Sci Fi.. "Time Enough for Love" and another is "Stranger in A Strange Land" both by Robert A. Heinlein Not exactly about swinging but more about the lifestyle of either Polyamourous or Swingers in a fashion....The Ethical slut is kind of the grandfather of swinging handbooks and how to pull it off.. The other two are quite good about polyandrous/polygamous/polygynous relationships.. Could be fun to discuss, particularly the merrits and or negatives as it relates to the book/s and how it might relate to relationships in today's world, i.e., swinging...
trying to pick a place to honeymoon - - I would say it depends on what kind of weather and scenery you want. If you want mountains for hiking/camping/skiing and that sort of thing, pick Utah. If beaches and such are more your thing, pick Florida. Both have great groups of swingers as far as what I know via here on Swingular. Personally, if I could have a honeymoon (we eloped and skipped that whole deal), I pick Hawaii. :P
