Facebook and the lifestyle - Can Facebook be TMI with the lifestyle? - Ms. Evil and I were talking this morning about the the lifestyle in the age of Facebook. She mentioned that she kind of feels like there is the possibility of learning TOO much about your lifestyle friends when you're also on their Facebook feed. Especially in the hyperpolarized world we live in right now she thinks that maybe knowing too much about other swingers can make it harder to connect sexually with them. In fact, more than once, I've walked into the bedroom to find her on her laptop reading something a swinger friend has posted on Facebook with steam coming out of her ears (yeah we made an appt. with an ENT to get that checked out). I think it's gotten so bad at times that she's totally lost her 'lady wood' for a few of our lifestyle friends. I'm not really on Facebook so it hasn't affected me (other than her maybe not being as excited about possibly hooking up with some couples because they are so adamant in their views and express them so vigorously on Facebook). Just wondering what everyone thinks. Does Facebook (and learning all the dirty details about other couples) affect how you start to think about them? I Don't Care if You LIKE Me... Let's F**K! (???) - - We are not a "friends first" couple but the attraction has to be there personality-wise too. We totally agree about friendships in the lifestyle. We didn't enter it to make a bunch of new friends but wow, some of our best friends are swingers. What a great, unexpected benefit! Most of the people we are friends with we have not fucked. For some the personality attraction is there, for others the physical... and we need both. We even have some friends that are physically attractive to us, have personalities that make us very good friends, yet the sexual chemistry just seems awkward for whatever reason. Another odd observation of ours has been that a less physically attractive person becomes very attractive an fuckable with the right personality, but a very physically attractive person is sexually repulsive to us if they are an asshole. We have probably slept with less than 10% of our close friends in the swing community. Everyone we did play with did not end up a friend but not because we didn't like them. Sometimes it's just a matter of not having time to build a relationship and friendship not being a pre-requisite for us. What would you do if you knew a member is fake? - Fake cpls on swing sites - I can see your dilemma, but are you sure they are fake and not just desperate, lifeless, pitiful fools? at the end of their pitiful ropes? Maybe just crude, rude, hillbilly rednecks or something? We get hit up by the same single males quite often, seems as though they shoot in the dark hoping for some sort of outcome, and then quickly move on when they don't get a response. then a couple months or so later, back again with the same plan that didn't work the first time! Doesn't mean they are fake, just desperate, and obviously unorganized! The problem with outing people, AT ALL, is that you never know. Thing is you never know who will end up being your future Boss, co-worker, or client. (using as reference, you just never know) I myself am very turned off by smack talkers, had someone email me very recently talking smack to me (their idea of a warning) about someone I have known my entire life. Now how could they have known you ask? they couldn't have, but.......my advice to them......never smack talk, because you never know.
