Mormons - - What a interesting topic, I have to put in my two cents. I am from Amesfoort, Holland. I moved to Utah when I was young and grew up in SLC in the winter, returning to Holland some summers. (A unique perspective) Now with my wife, I have not meet any LDS swingers. But our circle of friends is not LDS ether. But while I was single I meet many Mormon girls that a great interest in me. Some tried to convert me (HAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH.... no) and some had no intention of converting me, although may have used it as an excuse to talk to me. There are many benifiets for staying in the church, and growing up non-lds can be a lonely affair in Utah. I think that many pretend to believe, because they need the support of the community, friends, and family. But many do want they want behind closed door. And I am sure the Internet is a great escape for them as well. I have been far and wide in this world, and most people are all the same. Yeah they may not be that open but everyone has to get to their own freedom in their own way and own time. So many of them just chat, and disappear when it comes down to meeting. But in my single days I had girls from the church meet me in private, and well. :) I used to like to think that is was because I was a hottie. but I think I have come to realize it was them who was hot, and needed release, and trusted me to be quiet about it. I am sure many think about swinging. But I doubt many would even talk to their spouse about that. The one issue I have with the Church is that they tend to control through fear, and I bet many guys and girls would like to bring up the topic. But fear their spouse will freak and they will be in front of the bishop. Most be a scary place to be, I am very lucky to have been raised in a very liberal, open, agnostic home. I went to a party with the same crowd and felt like I was at a middle school dance where I just wanted to be a wallflower and pretend I wasnt there. Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - I agree on the difference between swinging and poly relationships. Both have their advantages at times, and their disadvantages. They are separate things, not to be intertwined, as some ppl do. Just like some swingers will do only certain things, I think that poly has many different ways to make it work, you just have to find the right ppl to be in that type of relatioship with. I would think it would be hard to combine swinging and a poly relationship, but then I have not really tried it. Being a single female, I either get contacted by single or married guys wanting a good time, or usually some guy wanting a second female for his "harem". Age differences - How do you handle it - I don't want to start a controversy, and then it cums, Why would age be an issue at all. Isn't the idea of swinging, first of all, about having fun with fantasy, and then there is the idea that swinging is not a mainstream activity; i.e., Not along the idea of "Normal" relationships or sex. Age is one of the norms in society and thus, I would think, one of those things that would go out the window if one is involved in swinging. I bring this point up simply to hear why age would be an issue... I'm sure that there are people who are old and wrinkled and have bad breath and their plates are falling out and even the queen sized outfits or the XS lingerie would not fit....I mean if the lady is leaving 2 trails behind her, in the sand and she is getting her nipples scraped by that sand AND her plates are dirty and falling out and she had halatosis... Maybe she would not meet criteria to play with... unless one is in the same home with her and she snuck into your room and gave you oral sex while you were asleep. Or maybe it's the guy with the shriveled member, and that's after viagra and Enzyte and 2 other products, and he has slipped into your room and given you oral, and of course you are a lady....But Age should not be a single defining factor as to weather to play or not.... On the other end of that when people are "too young" . Are they out of diapers, eat solid food, over the legal age in your neck of the woods, and know what sex is and they have not stopped any clocks or watches in their immediate vacinity... Who started it? - Who/How/How long? - Before we were in the lifestyle, we went to Hedonism. Nothing happened, but it started an itch that I knew I had to scratch one day if I could convince my wife. Years later at a vanilla party with friends and being drunk, I inadvertently mentioned we went to Hedonism. Our best friends picked up on that and asked if we were swingers.
