Age differences - How do you handle it - We look to make some sort of a friendship with anyone we play with so we feel the best chance that would happen is if they were close to our ages but we have found many exceptions to that theory. We are just playing the odds that a connection is most commonly found with someone of similar ages.
The reason for this thread was because of conversation we were involved in at a party recently that we attended. People of all ages were there. I was sitting with a few older ladies, who I must say were very attractive, but then they started talking about all of their ailments and it almost makes me afraid that I might accidently hurt them if we played. I want to provide pleasure, not pain.
Also a few were saying they went to a big party and it was mostly younger couples who were dirty dancing and flirting but not really playing and they felt the younger swingers are not as sexual as the older people are. One rationalized it by saying that maybe the fear of pregnancy is the issue.
We try to be ourselves at all times and if we find common interests with a couple younger or older then us, great. Since we are somewhere in the middle we can go higher or lower then our ages. We would go higher then our ages first because of the experience and maturity factors hoping their experience will provide us some fun and share their knowledge with us. We wonder what those at either end of the spectrum think and what is their biggest concerns. Great input so far from everyone so thank you for that.

Preconceived Ideas - - Wow, great subject! My preconceptions of swingers were very similar to Big D's. Wild orgys, naked bodies everywhere....ohhhhh sounds pretty hot ....LOL
But at the time for me it was scary. At our first party, within a hour I was begging my hubby to take me home I was terrified of being "attacked"

Fun friends to hang out with who aren't shocked if you show a little skin, or a lot of skin. People who totally understand the double meaning to lots of subjects, friends who see you turn your head and watch the couple who just passed you on the street and know EXACTLY what was just going through your mind!

Swingers Rock Club - Live music, Dancing, and Sexy Friends - Well it may not be quite as bad as you think Rocker and Denim... We for one are rockers and we know many other lifestyle couples that made it to the earthday birthday concert in O-town a week or so ago along with us. Hell, there are even a few lifestyle couples that have their own bands and have held concerts together here on the space coast. So don't feel left out on a limb. "Take Hold of the Flame"... Christain Swingers? - - I think overall Religion has a poor track record when it comes to morallity. That is one of the reasons there are so many divisions in christianity. Often,when someone wants to justify their veiw on an issue they use religious interpitation to back it, some have even started new religions or branches of their previos religion to accomidate their position. Wars have been fought , people persecuted, tortured and put to death in the name of religion, and it still occurs on this very day.
I remember a statement, said to be made by Jesus Christ: "He who has not sinned cast the first stone". I think the person about to be stoned was accused of adultry. One of his close followers and friends was a prostitute. He went to the temple to tell the holier than thou, they were missing the point, and if I recall he was said to have given his sermons in the streets, and roads to anyone who wanted to listen.
Karl Marx (I do not believe in Communism) refered to religion as the "opium of the people". I think he may have been on to something. I had 12yrs of religious study in Catholic grade & high school and I think rather than brain washing me it opened my eyes up to the contradictions in religion. I think you have to step away from religion to be really objective, when looking at the morality of any issue. I feel a persons faith and beliefs are a personal and individual thing. Organized religion can often pollute your judgement, if you let it. If you can step away from it and look objectively at your choices in life, you may also find there is still room for you to step back in, and find a place for yourself in its boundries, also.
I think like COTA has experienced, religion has let a lot of us down in one way or another. It is up to each of us to make up our own minds, when it comes to matters of faith and morality. Personally I don't think religion should cast stones.
Swinger Board Games - - There's a game called sex stack. It's like Jenga but the tiles have numbers on them and then you match it up to a sexual type act that is listed on these cards that come with it. It's not necessarily made for swingers but could easily be turned into one where the person selecting the tile chooses the act and who they do that act to or with. I found that on Amazon. It's fun to play with your partner too! 😉
