Your mistake was that you assumed that everyone was at the same level as you. That's not a stab, but an observation. One of the first mistakes we all make is assuming that because we are all "swingers", we are all seasoned veterans of the lifestyle and have ironed out all the wrinkles in our relationships as swingers.
It is unrealistic to expect everyone to be on the same page, all the time. I agree with you in that we should all strive to be open and communicate everything we can, to our significant other and the other couple, so that everyone knows where everyone stands with regard to swinger interaction. Does this always happen? No. My advice is don't be discouraged. All you can do is try again or move on.
Everyone is guilty of "DRAMA", including you and me, for that matter. More often than not, those that say "Drama Free" are those that are the biggest perpetrators and perpetuators of it. Just my opinion of course. Better luck next time.

searching - search forum topics - If you are really committed here are the steps to use Google to search (yes people the forum is indexed on Google) and then view it the regular viewer on the site. BTWs, it's totally crap that we have to do this and that the site doesn't work.
1) use google.com to search by adding "swingular.com:" in front of your keywords (e.g. "swingular.com:kik". This tells Google to limit results to just this site.
2) Click on the result you like and you'll then be taken to a hideous, somewhat sanitized (vanilla, hehe) view of the post that is totally unreadable. Don't panic yet.
3) Grab the number from the URL (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/swingers/i/16397/KIK-Chat would be 16397)
4) Make sure you are logged into the site and add your number to the post view url of https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=[[number here]] and press enter (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=16397)
5) Come back here and post again about how stupid it is that you have to do that

Stabbing at swingers party? - - Unfortunatetly, this kind of thing is bound to happen. It can happen in any setting for any reason. There are always people with coping issues present in life and especially in this lifestyle. Since the spectrum or Gamut of people in the lifestyle is wide, you get varying degrees of ability to cope. Some find they enjoy watching their spouse with another and have great lines of communication and understanding, whilst others aren't honest with themselves or their partner. This can lead to numerous problems in the relationship from arguments to, in this case, murder. I think age (immaturity) has a great deal to do with the circumstance in this case. For anyone to blame this on swinging would be idiocy. My two cents...

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Just watched the story on the news and was EXTREMELY relieved it wasn't aired on a Get Gephardt segment. LOL Yeah, so the lady in question said she decided to swing with her husband to save her marriage after she gained a lot of weight (guess swinging is easier than a diet or taking up jogging) and that they went to "orgies" all over Utah...naming several cities and "even Bountiful" (the story showed the Bountiful temple a few times during the piece- she said being a Mormon she felt very uncomfortable swinging in a home within view of the temple). She also claimed that she was at a house party and the hosts young kids walked in. She says she started drinking because going to parties she felt like she was in the 5th grade where you wouldn't be chosen for a team...her husband was chosen to play but she wasn't. She has to go to rehab for her drinking. Eventually she wanted to quit but her husband supposedly refused and started going out solo and gave her gonorrhea. They are now divorced. Heidi Hatch was the reporter and apparently she started a profile and was communicating with couples here on Singular (yes, they identified Swingular by name and showed numerous screen shots and even some profile names) who wanted to make sure swinging wasn't portrayed in a purely negative manner. BUSTED! Your Kids Found Out Your Swingers. Now What? - - As a couple and now a single guy on here after reading spearmints GREAT ADVICE I think he should run for President and solve the worlds problems. After all everything he says makes perfect since. I am just not sure which part. He sounds like he is a jack of all trades master of one and that is masterbating. I have known people in the lifestyle for years and their kids knew all about it. Some where fine about it others kids werent. But when the other couple cameover for the day they were there as friends not someone they have had sex with. We (as in my ex and I) have had friends comeover that we have met while swinging and we have gone to their place with our kids. No we didnt have sex with them with our kids there but we all had alot of fun. Just because you are a swinger does not mean that you can not be friends with them at other times also.
