Why is it so hard for peole to answer their mail??? - - Not having the time is a poor excuse. All the sites we have used offer a "canned" reply that is polite and straight forward. All it it takes is a click of the mouse. Don't think I have ever received a nasty gram from a no thank you email. When we first placed ads on swinger sites years ago, most emails were answered. The statistics of swinging - Relationship longevity in the lifestyle. - One thing we've noticed (and even had a few close calls with ourselves) is that, once the initial thrill of swinging/swapping wears off a little bit, many people look for the NEXT big thrill...usually separate play. I have an acquaintance in the lifestyle who is a professor of physiology who likes to talk at length about the "love hormone", oxytocin, and how powerful it can be in some lifestyle circumstances. I guess a subset of this issue might be how many swingers who break up do so because they fall in love with someone else in the lifestyle.
One particularly insidious behavior that we've, unfortunately, encountered are men, both single AND married, in the lifestyle who attempt to ply Ms. Evil by saying things like, "If you were mine I would never want to share you.". There are probably a fair number of women (and probably men) who might be susceptable to that type of talk if they're insecure in their primary relationship.

Whats happend to us since.... - - We've met some really kick ass people, to include the author of this post. My wife and I are from Oregon where the scene is a little more mainstream and a little less "Hush Hush". With all of the that "Hippy Love" left over from the 60's, the "On-Premise" clubs and being so full of liberals, Oregon is a swingers paradise. The Ironic thing is, because of the religious backgrounds of a lot of the Native-Born Utahans (being told no and don't from birth), they are some of the most sexually explosive people I have ever encountered. It is, at times, breathtaking! In fact my wife and I went from, soft swap voyeurs to the full swing naughty things, because of the energy here. It is as though we struck gold in the desert.

We were actually sort of semi-active back when we started (And of course lied thru our teeth during bishop interviews.LOL). And we've known at least half a dozen couples over the years who were outed (Usually by other swingers who for some reason decided they needed to confess or were pissed because someone stopped fucking them and decided to "name names".) and exed. :-(
This reminds us of one of our fav swinging stories. We knew a couple who LOVED to party. Almost every single Sunday, after having a LOT of sex Saturday night, they sent us a text to tell us they felt guilty and were quitting the lifestyle. And almost every single Wednesday or Thursday we'd get ANOTHER text asking us where the parties were for the coming weekend. LOL! Sadly, they're divorced now, but it was a running joke about them in the little swinging circle we were active with at the time.
