What is it to being a swinger couple - Is it always this way - From an outsider's perspective, this is one of the most obvious cons to me about being married swingers; you still have to deal w/ the annoyances of dating. Like Harry says in 'When Harry Met Sally', "I got married so I didn't have to date anymore!" You're happy to get laid, but it wasn't only about getting laid; it was about connecting to other people and for whatever reason they didn't want to maintain the connection. I think that's why there are so many small group outings posted about on here; those couples have found they're happiest when they develop a like-minded connection and hope sex will be another activity they partake w/ those to whom they're connected.
Of course, I could be totally wrong and there will be no shortage of married swingers who tell me so along in a few minutes.

Didn't Meet Expectation - newbies - As children we are taught a set of rules to live by. I was not taught and I doubt that most of us were not taught to be swingers. I was on Church Council, the Catholic School board (as president for several years), the Catholic Youth Organization, a room dad (that goodness for a great employer), and rarely if ever missed a field trip. So YES, they can mix and YES I think a fellow board member and her husband were also swingers.
We had gone to church for years with swinger friends and 1/3 of the people at the First Communion of their youngest child were swingers.
NOT MILDLY suggesting that our way was the only way but it CAN work.

Speed swinging? Just a thought. - kinda like speed dating but speed swinging - I actually think it is a great idea. I am not sure any play would immediately come out of it, but it would certainly be a quick way to decide which couples you would want to contact further. Especially given busy lives, it may be just the think busy swingers need!
