Your post really does make me want to cry AM. Because if you really truly believe you no longer have the power to make a difference. Than we have already lost everything. You, and everyone like you, needs to believe in the power of the people, that's what this country is founded on. You have to be sure of who you are voting for and be sure of the solutions in your mind. You need to talk to everyone you know about it and encourage them to do the same.
To remain silent and powerless is exactly what big industry wants. They have done a great job of making you feel this way. I personally will never lay down to it.

Not saying we are going to lay down and give up we will make the calls, and vote just saying Big Money controls this country there is no easy answer. Not giving up just stating fact that there is only so much we as citizens can do look at the IRS for example many have tried to fight back and challenge paying fed income taxes seeing as there really is no law on the books that can be found to say you HAVE to pay income taxes but try not paying and see what happens to you. Same goes with this oil situation BIG money controls the politicians I don't care democrat, republican or independent they are all controlled by big money. All we can do is make the phone calls, show for protest and most of all get out and VOTE!
I have a very hard time truly believing that my vote in a presidential election truly means anything. The popular vote has not truly elected a president since the advent of the Electoral College. The ONLY votes that actually count for a presidential candidate are those cast by the members of the electoral college. Since these members are only appointed by our congressional representatives and have zero direct ties to the American public how can anyone say that their vote truly counts? I know that the college has never gone completely against the popular vote but how many elections were there that the popular vote was nearly a 50/50 split and yet the College votes were almost 75/25 if not more. All you have to do is look as the election results found in most college level US History textbooks and see what I am saying. As for write in votes, how many college votes have ever gone for anyone other than the 2 primary candidates.
I will still vote no matter how pointless i think it is. Which is why I tend to not get too involved in the presidential election debates.

damn riderz you can point them guns at me anytime. LOL
Like the rabbit.......... and going.... and going..... and going.........LOL
Well many would say that me writting my ballot in for Ron Paul is a waste of a vote.
However my vote will never be dictated by the nominee selection or by media influence. I base my vote on the purity of the candidate and the platform they stand on. As long as you do that, your vote is never waisted. I just wish more would.
And that is not to suggest that voting for Obama or McCain means you have been influenced. I just hope you are voting for the man and his principles not for the party, or because of influence.

Exactly Riderz,
I have never once voted out or pressure for any candidate and even witheld voting on some elections all together since I had zero confidence in ANY of the candidates much less the process.
As for the picture, damn. That could be the start of a great fantasy if it were real.
