STD testing and physicians - who and where - The Utah Aids Foundation in Sugarhouse does walk in testing Mondays and Thursdays. They test for HIV (rapid results, you get them before you leave the clinic), and chlamydia and gonorrhea for free. The chlamydia/gonorrhea are just urine for the free tests, and since they are localized infections, paying for the self collect oral/anal tests are worth it as well ($25/each), as people frequently have those without realizing and while testing clean with their urine tests. My one complaint with there is that they take a while to get results (about a week) and I felt a little talked down to when they pull you into a room to talk about safe sex and using condoms; however, that is a small price to pay for the service you are getting. While, as swingers, those are the two big ones to worry about, it is worth also going to your family physician to get tested for a full panel every few months (I do every 6/8 months for the full panel), since they aren't as common but can still affect people. If you need something quickly and want to avoid paying too much, the best experience I have had is actually at the Salt Lake County Health Department near downtown (http://slco.org/health/std-clinic/testing-treatment/). They charge per test, and they are the least judgmental and most sex-positive place I've found. Theme dances, seminars, an expo hall with anything and everything sexual. You were given wristbands when you registered to get into all the venues. It usually took about 4 or 5 hours for people (vanillas) at nearby hotels and such to hear about what was going on start looking for who was wearing those telltale wristbands. It would get so bad people (swingers) would just take them off or try to hide them under watches and jewelry. Can't imagine something like this wouldn't fairly quickly (especially with the internet) turn out the same or worse and for some reason not too many people seem to want to be identified as swingers when they're at the grocery store or out to eat with their families or in ANY public place. One should always remember dont go to the club to find a party bring the party with you , and if you go looking for the party dont knock what others are doing. Tastbuds is not a BYOB club well drinks $3.00 each top $6.00 each and a low cover always. It is also directly located in a Hotel with room rates most nights for club members of $43.00 plus tax. No it is not a five star Hotel 1 to 10 it is a 7 some may score higher some lowere but the rooms are fair. Large dance area and seperate bar with pool table. As for the DJ we like to add you cant put 200 swingers in the same club and have them all like the same music . For the record most of the time we wanna hear other stuff and also dont like everything to be mixed all the time but we have sat back a few times and wanted to complaine but the dance floor was packed was hard to get our point out when such a large number of guest were enjoying the tunes. We think any club will have some clicks their are so manny diferant types of people in the life.We have tryed our best to be open and friendly even when others were not so nice back.
