hotel party advice - - I've never been to a hotel party for the purpose of meeting swingers/possible swinging. Has any one else been? 'Neighbors with Benefits' to air on A&E - Excited to watch? - Looking at the preview, I have a problem with the show before even seeing it. It looks like the people on it are all going to be 20 or 30 something, and pretty darned physically attractive. Great TV marketing strategy, I suppose. Get people to tune in to see great looking people who engage in "forbidden" sex. Titillate the viewing populace. But NOT anything even close to a representation of the people in the lifestyle. Sure there are people as young as in their twenties in it. I was in bed with one a few weeks ago (yes, miracles do happen, folks. Even with old codgers like me [em]Emo_100[/em] ). But not only is the lifestyle not made up entirely of really hot looking people in their 20s and 30s, they aren't even a really large chunk of it. The largest single age group, based on what I've seen at events and parties, as well as on the site, are in their 40s. And far from all being fit, slim, and very sexy in a traditional sense, they are mostly average. In other words, the majority of us are normal people. And until the society as a whole starts seeing swingers as just normal folks, swinging isn't ever going to be well accepted. I also have a suspicion that the show is going to present swinging as a bunch of people getting together then all pairing off randomly with whoever. In other words, the view of swinging that vanilla society already seems to have. I really doubt that this show is going to do anything good for the lifestyle, mainly because I expect it to present a warped view of the reality of swinging. ~ Terry.

Having a hard time meeting people - - Wow its getting heated now !!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant we all just get naked ???? To much drama going around really a turn off when everyone starts bashing each other . Have you ever.... - - Not sure if I'd call it loving controversy as much just goofing off a little and knowing that things (even in swinging) are rarely black and white. We've been doing this a LONG time and have seen a LOT more scenarios, good AND bad, than most people here. People who haven't been in the scene for that long or had that many experiences often see things thru their swinger goggles and maybe don't really think of the potential down side. We've seen many swinger marriages bite the dust. Would you really like to be the straw that broke the camel's back in helping a vanilla marriage implode? I guess I just don't really see the thrill in vanilla hunting when there are tons of hot sexy swingers who know the game and want to hook up and fuck. Why stalk the unsuspecting when you know the potential for drama or worse is MUCH higher? Unless you like drama, which we definitely DON'T. Hey, no judgments. Some people actually love drama despite what they say in their profile. If you're really into skiing or motorcycling or hang gliding do you enjoy doing it with total noobs who have the potential to crash spectacularly? But, hey, do whatever floats yer boat.

a : a person who is lively, exciting, and up-to-date
b : one who engages freely in sex
There are those who would use the term in a variety of different ways. Some would vehemently deny that single people could be swingers and fall back on a previously used term of "wife swapping". Bottom line, a swinger, to you, is whatever YOU decide one is and if you consider yourself a swinger then you're a swinger. Someone else's definition is meaningless. JMHO
