Swingers dying out? - Is the utah swinger community dying or becoming to needy? - Oh, I didn't know the OP meant this literally. Yes, we've actually seen quite a few dead and dying swingers by the side of the road especially up around Lava Hot Springs. I think it's probably something in their environment. Maybe ingesting too much nonoxynol-9 or those weird little meatballs in Crockpots you see at most swing parties. Next time we see one we're gonna take it home and try to wash some of the spooge off it's coat with some Dawn dishwashing liquid and nurse it back to health with copious amounts of Red Bull and Jager shots. Calling all losers! - LS and club scene - As a single male (when we are invited), it's hard to make any connections in a LOUD club. I have some female friends (whom I'm sure that many couples would love), but inviting them to a loud "swingers" environment, isn't always attractive to them. On the other hand, a quiet, more relaxed/intimate setting is much more desirable to the women that I hang with. Also, if a couple would be willing to take a chance on a single male, dinner and drinks might be a lot less threatening for everyone involved. No expectations.... just getting to know each other.

Which is why I choose not to "argue" with DAVE and TRASHY. I have remained civil. What's great is the fact that no matter how much they cry and snivel. I will continue to post what I want, when I want. So I think Jenn's post was very fitting of Trashy, Dave, Waaa and the rest of the group that want to stifle other's freedoms. They are hypocrites. PERIOD. If they wanted peace, they would respect ADMIN's rules and quit harassing people for posting what they want. Trashy, Dave and WAAA, sound an awful lot like the background sound. you wrote: "Giving you my opinionated views is hardly a way to introduce myself in hopes of playing with your partner/wife. " Many of us disagree. Many of us wanna know if you have a mind outside of your dick. Many of us don't just hook up with strangers. Many of us like to make friends with those that have similar interests. Are you assuming we are all like you? -Don- "Ich habe einen kleinen Vogel in meinem Kopf."

Swingers Club - Swingers Club - There's a Chinese Buffet/Swing Club? Why wasn't I told about this? I'd like a number 7. You get egg rolls with that, right? A number 12, oh and some crab wontons. (And some hot unicorns.) [em]Emo_84[/em] And I have a coupon from The Clipper...

Obama's Roadtrip - -
Fair enough. Then why rely on them for anything that likely wasn't adequately studied?
Likely just does not do it for me...When the numbers are given AND shown how they were gathered, I tend to believe they are fairly accurate.
Let's take your Pepsi/Coke example. There is likely nothing befuddling about your scenario. Just one possibility: Where are the two Florida products bottled? Maybe it's the water.
Both bottled locally, it is chalked up to being a preferance thing. In WI, lived there for a while, it was called pop or soda, unless a VERY specific thing was needed, a Mountain Dew for instance. In the south, it is a Coke no matter what it is. If someone in the south offers a Coke, it could be Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Diet Rite, Sam's Club Soda, etc.
I'm glad you agree with the logic. My Bachelor's is in Social Welfare (Psych Minor). Human nature is only a bitch of a thing when you get out there a few standard deviations. The bulk of us are as predictable as rats.
Believe it or not, I have 2 BA's (econ and int. rel.) with a minor in social work. So I am very aware of social science standards and SOME believe that we're predictable. If you have a smaller sample, we are fairly predictable, especially when the sample is taken from a specific group of people (swingers for instance, better yet, swingers in a specific region), once you get to the larger populations (nationwide for instance), human behavior is not easily quantified. Try being the ONLY conservative in all the social work classes, it was fun! Then again, opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I propose that as an economist you are simply looking at things with a limited perspective.
Possibly, but I also have a rare ability to look at it from an outsider's view....
There is simply no question that if a person's basic needs (food and shelter) are met, there is less motivation to risk the consequences of violating societal rules.
I can see the logic of this, however, we are Americans, we always want MORE, we are constantly bombarded with images of MORE, we are constantly told that without MORE we are incomplete, etc. What are the consequences of violating societal rules? Food, shelter, clothing, TV, etc? Really tough there. Look at prisons in Mexico, if your family does not provide, you starve, more than likely. THAT is consequences, it is a deterrant (sp?). IMHO, one of the reasons for our increased crime rates is the lack of public punishment. If every time you turned around, you saw a group of people in black and white stripes mowing lawns, trimming trees, etc. on the side of the road in leg chains, it would cut crime considerably. If they did public executions, it would cut crime dramatically. Then again, I am a staunch supporter of heavy penalties for crimes, especially when they are repeat offenders, most of the social scientists are not. They want more rehab and such, which I also support, BUT only for first timers, not for repeat offenders. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying our debate... Next!

sh*t swingers say - to preach to the choir - UCANTTOUCHMYMONKY, Swingy the Swing, oh my god that was awesome!

Married & single? - single minded affrairs? - "The Lifestyle is for couples that love and respect each other and do this together." So who makes these rules? Cheating is cheating...that is true. But how do you know what goes on in other aspects of the lives of the couples you meet? Can someone be "banned" from the lifestyle? I think everyone has to do what they feel comfortable with, but we shouldn't say that someone else isn't a swinger because they live their life differently. The same way many of us try to say that a cheater or a single can't be swinger if their partner is unaware, that can be equated to a Christian saying that swingers can't be Christians because even if their spouse knows it is still sex out of wedlock. Or slim people saying fat people shouldn't be called swingers because they do not find them sexy. Anyone can be a swinger, it is just up to us as individuals or couples to choose who we wish to play with, and not be judgemental or condescending to those with whom we choose not to.
