Swinging versus poly/open - - I'm speculating here, but it seems the millennial generation as a whole is more open to an open/poly relationship, and it naturally is bleeding into Swingular as more and more younger/ish couples sign up.
We started out with very strict rules about emotions for others, ect. I Don't Care if You LIKE Me... Let's F**K! (???) - - Ok... We recently (accidentally) overheard a conversation between three "newbie" couples. Earlier, we had talked to them and during the conversation had briefly mentioned our personal ideas about "Friendships" vs. "Notches on the Bedpost". (We're Pro-Friendship). Do you mix your vanilla and lifestyle friends? - - We tell anyone who is a late night friend, ie: serious friend, vanilla or not that we have an alternative lifestyle.
