Thinking of checking out UTAH - Been on this site for awhile, seems like the partys over in Utah - Well, CBUTAH, some of the best people, period, are in the lifestyle. I don't mean the lookie-lous, or people who jump in just because they think anyone on a swingers site will fuck anyone of the right sex that asks. Even though some folks seem to think there are lots of those types, and there are a number of them, they're outnumbered by the real people, the ones who are essentially honest, who are open-minded, accepting and considerate of the feelings and desires of others, and, perhaps most of all, who are intelligent and who think for themselves instead of just following the crowd in whatever direction is the most popular at the moment. Those are the people who make it a real community, not just a bunch of sex hungry whatevers. The others, who are here just for whatever sex they can get and don't give a damn for anything but their own personal pleasure, well, they usually don't get a lot of that pleasure, not over the long run, and mostly they eventually either manage to give themselves away or get tired of trying with little or no result, and then they leave. And for YOUNGCHARM, what do you mean by "check out" Utah? You're in Illinois. If you mean to check it out strictly online, I'm not sure what you'd get from it. While there are certainly people who enjoy sexting, sex chat and sex camming, I think the majority of people want to meet people in the flesh. If you're hoping to meet someone online, and then visit Utah to hook up, well, there just aren't millions of people who will make a for sure hookup commitment with someone they've never actually met. Many will do a "I like what I see, and I think we'd probably click and hook up, why don't we meet and see what happens?", but there's no actual certain commitment in those situations, and Illinois to Utah would be a pretty long trip if it turned out to be for nothing. The only other possibility I can think of would be if you came here and spent at least a couple of weeks and went to some Meet N Greets or events that were open to everyone. But many of those "open" events bar or restrict single males, and single males aren't usually terribly successful at the first few Meet N Greets they attend. The one way I can think of that it would likely work well is if you have a girl friend who'd like to swing who came to Utah with you. Then you could participate as a couple in whatever events were going on while you were here, and if you were here long enough might even get invited to some house parties, and would be pretty likely to enjoy the visit. BUSTED! Your Kids Found Out Your Swingers. Now What? - - This is an interesting thread. I enjoy reading the sensible and somewhat innane, pseudo "I know what I am talking about so you all listen to me" comments. Thanks for keeping it interesting. In our family, my wife's two kids, should they ever find out, would laugh, tell us "you have got to be kidding" and then move on. My kids, who are adults but a bit younger, would want to have a lively discussion about it and then move on as well. We have raised our children to be acceptant of everyone, their eccentricities and lifestyles. The are all comfortable with each other and discuss pretty much everything so no problems there. As a part of the discussion about family, Netta's two brothers are in the lifestyle and "came out" to us within the last four months.....I think to see our reaction.....and were quite shocked and pleased we have been in the lifestyle for over 5 years. We suspect her mom and dad played as well. And you know......no one in the family has killed themselves because of it. If nothing else, it generates conversation. Something else....as I DO work in healthcare, particularly focusing on psychological interactions...those who tend to support their comments with cursing, or "I know what I am talking about", tend not to. They just have a pathological need to force their opinion, for that is what it is, on everyone and have it taken for fact. Typically, they tend to be arrogant and have a pretty inflexible belief system. WIFE AND I WILL BE AT CLUB HABITS SATURDAY 23 - - I went to a meet/greet a while ago at Club Habits and instantly became a member due to the environment and dress code. Odd pattern. - Why the interest/disinterest? - I'm not surprised to see mentions of homophobia and haste in filling out the profile as possible reasons; I hadn't thought of the male ego being so driven as to ignore disinterest from gay women. Yet that ego can't be reasoned w/ when the interested person's equipment matches the imagined ideal but the original birth certificate does not, even when reproduction is not on the table. As Terry pointed out above, every blastocyst starts out female and slightly less than half mutate into males as they become fetuses. AHARLEYCPL, not only is hate mail unwarranted, I'm personally pleased this discussion, for all its potential thorns, hasn't disintegrated into discriminatory ugliness like it would on some sites where the membership is more mainstream; I think it's b/c swingers already think outside the societal norms when it comes to expressing sexuality and have more of a 'live and let live if no one gets hurt' mentality.
