Soft Swap Couples - -
We are new to this and I feel like an idiot but what’s a “soft swap”?! Depending on what it is we could be as well...
Most swingers consider it to be play that includes anything up to but not including penetrative sex. So basically, anything goes except actual fucking between non-primary partners.

A&E New show about swingers... - neighbors with benefits.... -

Why would any industry sponsor shows about the positive side of Swinging? I doubt there is any big money in promoting the swing lifestyle any more than there is profit to singing the praises of plural marriage. The vice industry might even suffer financially should swinging really catch on. This is a lifestyle that must eat the crumbs that fall from the gay lesbian table to acquire any "me to" acceptance. It seems like social and financial suicide for the deep pockets.
They had a swinger pride parade in new Orleans this year. Maybe in 20 years we can have a table too.
Except that's a false equivalency; swinging is a choice people make. No one is born as a swinger. This is like comparing wearing contacts to having green eyes; one chooses to wear contacts, one doesn't choose to be born w/ green eyes.

Swingers Vacation Spots - Help us - Hi all. Our swingers holiday experience is SAILING! Have a look at www.swinger-reisen.de!! At the moment in German and Dutch only, but if you want more info just ask us. A hug from The Netherlands.

Boise swingers? - Any out there? - Try "Swing LifeStyle" (SLS). Since we are closer to Boise than where most Swingular folks seem to reside (Utah), we thought we'd give it a try. It looked promising and we were told Boise has a good number of folks in the lifestyle. However, upon noticing that SLS membership was more costly than Swingular (which we had already paid), we decided not to pursue. That may change though. It's been challenging for us... and the distance between us and the Utah folks make it more so.

is it true about swingular??????????????????? - - lol, don't you just love rumors. That is completely untrue. In fact, it's just the opposite. Swingular is growing bigger and faster. First, the redesign of the site is going to be a huge milestone for us. We are getting closer and closer to the beta launch. Second, we are going city to city to market Swingular locally and expand in every market from small to big. As of right now, we are getting hundreds of sign ups a day. We are listed in the top 10 search results for most all keywords related to swingers and at least in the top 3 for about 5 of them. We have ads in and sponsor events such as SwingFest to help market ourselves worldwide and we are promoting parties across the U.S. We aren't going anywhere, we're here to stay!

Soft-core roll call - A call out to those interested in the softer side. -
Canvas, It sounds like you and your wife are not quite on the same page yet, which is quite normal at the beginning of exploring the Lifestyle. You are looking for friendships with those who are in a similar situation. That's a good idea, but be prepared that even those friendships may be fleeting as the chemistry or level of comfort may still be different. At the beginning of our lifestyle journey, my wife and I were just as you are today, (I was also at a different level as my wife too). TheFunCouple offers excellent advice on going to meet & greets. I also add that you might want to check out a place like Sea Mountain Inn in Palm Springs. There you can see how comfortable it is to be nude in front of others and witness all the different levels of the lifestyle. You will have opportunities to talk to others and learn more. There is no pressure to play. Plus, you will be out of Utah and away from people who might recognize you. If you are adventurous enough, maybe plan a vacation to Temptations Resort in Mexico. This resort is not truly a lifestyle resort but is a lifestyle friendly resort since so many non swingers go there. It still is a sexually charged resort. You will meet a lot of people who are similar to you there and you have a whole week to be relaxed, get into vacation mode, and explore your steps into the lifestyle together without judgement or pressure.
Thanks. I'm totally fine with my wife not wanting to be with another man. And she's ok with me being comfortable with another woman. So, not being on the same page doesn't cause issues as much as it adds to the challenges. Any way, I completely agree with you and TheFunCouple about meeting people in person, going to meet-and-greets, etc. That would be the best way to meet and get a feel for people. Two problems with that for us though: 1) We live in Podunk i.e., a long ways from Lifestyle events and 2) neither of us likes parties or any sort of large social gatherings. We're not hermits or socially awkward. It's just not our thing. I appreciate your post as well as the others.👍

Safe Sex - How do you (or don't you) protect yourselves? - We now have the rule that we always use condoms. And we are still shopping around for the best ones that work for hubby. He would prefer not having to use them but not enough that he is going to stop. (Side Note: red condoms can have a BAD visual connotation for some guys) I admit that when we started out we didn\'t use them the first couple of times we played. We then discovered that the first couple we played with doesn\'t use them at all. They had some of the same arguments I\'ve seen posted here. The fact that STD\'s can be transmitted via oral sex, condoms don\'t feel right, etc. I can see those points. But then we found out that they don\'t get tested at all and he picks up random chicks while traveling (with wife\'s knowledge and permision) I think that is the point that makes me the most uncomfortable. Most of the swingers we have met so far are very aware of STD\'s and take some precautions such as getting tested, condoms, etc. But I have seen the statistics on STD\'s in single sexually active people and it\'s like 1 in 4 and most don\'t know they are infected. So he is playing russian roulette in my opinion. We didn\'t know all this before we played with them. So I guess the moral of the story is to talk with potential partners and ask questions!! For us newbies, it may be awkward and feel like you are being crass, nosy, or killing the spark, but the other couple should be willing to at least discuss it or maybe they aren\'t right for you!!
