Parties - Venting - We go to many of the parties and know many of the planners. They put a lot of effort into creating a great experience. This is certainly party season for Swingers. Mardi Gras unzipped in slc - - We've thrown very large Mardi Gras parties and Halloween Parties in the past,and most people showed because we made them pre-pay for tickets, so they had some investment in the party. Most of them turned out good. What cracked us up the most was--the ones who come and seem to act like we owe them some kind of magical fuck-dust or something; I mean if you are dumb, don't work out, and have a rude personality, just going to a party of people in the lifestyle doesn't guarantee you to get laid or be invited to an orgy. Two times we gave a trip to New Orleans and as soon as we rewarded it we started getting attitude that we owed this person more. No feeling of thanks, but more of 'what else can I suck ot of you'. The Last one we gave a prize to New Horizons in Seattle--our favorite swing club. Got the same attitude from the couple, really even condescended to us. It was really a shame. We forgot to get them a car to drive around, our bad. Gave you a 2000 gift, get your own effen car, cheepasses. Well, anyway. My message here is be thankful for those who try and if you win something, show some effen gratitude. Swingers can be such cheep asses. Pay for the show, enjoy what you can and be more thankful, cause if you aren't you may scare off those, like us, who tried. ;) We didn't know of this party but we're always up for a good one. We usually invite a couple with us so no-matter the outcome of the party we'll have a good time. There are always specific requirements and a process of some sort to go through to become approved to sponsor new people. There's still a stronger stigma attached to BDSM than there is to swinging, and the potential consequences to being outed are more severe, especially in a place like Utah. Respect...Needed? or just forgotten. - - The various points that have been made are well taken. We have been approached by people who are rude or crass. Typically it is a single male, often married pretending to be single or the de facto single male -- half of a vanilla couple pretending to be a swinging couple. I have several observations: This single male is far more likely to be a trial member. They have little or no real knowledge of swinging and it shows. They don\'t expect to be invited to join the couple or single female they approach. They simply find a cheap thrill in the crass sexaulity of the rude note they send. (I suspect they type them with one hand.) If given the oportunity (which their approach itself precludes) they would not play. Don\'t confuse them with the polite & respectful single males that are a part of swinging. We jokingly refer to them as hard-ons. They think because they once had a hard on -- they are qualified to swing. My FAVORITES are the ones that will \"let you watch\" or \"don\'t mind if you joins in\" as if somehow by their offer alone -- Belinda becomes theirs. You will see them at the clubs. Somehow they come up with the courage to go to a swingers club that allows single males.
