I don't think lifestyle people are more or less. I think it's normal number are and are not regardless of the lifestyle question.
We have meet several swingers that continue to have issues with this. They feel that their beliefs in god don't allow for swinging. So at times they have major guilt issues with the lifestyle or even just being bisexual.
I personally don't get into that line of thinking because I believe that if everyone is in agreement and no one is getting hurt or lied to; then there is no "sin" with exploring the lifestyle.

I completely get all the points in your post but the one thing that that jumped under my skin, is the statement that this Don Juan asshole is a "fucking" Democrat based on his fucked up views. My husband (and others in my family) serve(d) in the military too and WE ARE DEMOCRATS. Being one, I do not agree with the shit he said in his post and it serves him right for the backlashing that he received for what he said. I completely support our our troops and is very grateful for what they did and are still doing. I also know plenty of Dem. who feel the same way I do, just as I know a few Rep. who has that dickwads same point of view. But to place him in our category in such a derogative way, offends me. Its like saying "Oh shit, you smell like a wet dog when you get out the shower...You must be white" or "Damn, your nose is big...You must be black". See how offensive that is. Highly unlikely those places could be replicated here for legal reasons..... Also, the swinger community here in Utah is REALLY tiny compared to other states.. (We like to think it's big... but most other states have much larger, much more active communities than we do).

There's little journalism here in Utah; it's about driving views whose numbers can be used for ad revenue. Titillation drives views. The curiosity gap ("You won't believe what happens next!") drives views. Informing is never considered necessary, only attracting views and/or clicks.

We can imagine until the cows come home and we will probably never guess right and it really does not matter anyway. I like to think the group, that told us no, is fun and is having fun but will just not know us. You cannot be part of everything anyway. The tendency for us to imagine that any group that might reject us is full of miserable losers that would not know sexy if it bit them is not good for us and the no was probably delivered with a lot less intolerance than we are imagining. I think we should concentrate on discovering more joy by fully focusing on the doors that are open to us. We are all going to get rejected from time to time and it might hurt but don't dwell on it.
