I considered addressing this post to Dr. Phil, but as I do not think he really cares what anyone other than himself thinks, feels, or believes anyway, I will simply post it. The last time I checked, Dr. Phil was a man not unlike any other. He does not possess superhuman strength or any other ability. He is simply a man.
It is not responsible, In My opinion, to ever assume that ones beliefs are the only, or correct beliefs. There is a huge difference between believing something and knowing it to be fact and Dr. Phil, again, just my opinion, lets himself forget that.
I would not be upset if Dr. Phil said,

Right? And they aren't even that expensive unless you get them in sterling silver or gold. We gave them out as party favors once, back in the day. I vote that these necklaces (you can find them all over the internet) become THE official/unofficial sign for hotwives and/or swingers. KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Just watched the story on the news and was EXTREMELY relieved it wasn't aired on a Get Gephardt segment. LOL Yeah, so the lady in question said she decided to swing with her husband to save her marriage after she gained a lot of weight (guess swinging is easier than a diet or taking up jogging) and that they went to "orgies" all over Utah...naming several cities and "even Bountiful" (the story showed the Bountiful temple a few times during the piece- she said being a Mormon she felt very uncomfortable swinging in a home within view of the temple). She also claimed that she was at a house party and the hosts young kids walked in. She says she started drinking because going to parties she felt like she was in the 5th grade where you wouldn't be chosen for a team...her husband was chosen to play but she wasn't. She has to go to rehab for her drinking. Eventually she wanted to quit but her husband supposedly refused and started going out solo and gave her gonorrhea. They are now divorced. Heidi Hatch was the reporter and apparently she started a profile and was communicating with couples here on Singular (yes, they identified Swingular by name and showed numerous screen shots and even some profile names) who wanted to make sure swinging wasn't portrayed in a purely negative manner. Honestly, a large part of the lifestyle (in our experience) is figuring out what you want and how to communicate that with other couples. Personally, I would not just strip unless I'm sure all 4+ people are on the same page.
They did a few seminars on this topic at Young Swingers Week in Jamaica last week. There were some good pointers there, such as using body language/touch (shoulder is casual, elbow is more interested, small of back is intimate) and gauging reactions. Or giving the other couple plenty of chances to say "yes" either through word or action by opening up opportunities to do so.
One of the things that we like to do as a couple is invite another couple (or single friend, or small group) over to play naughty board games. Turns out you can turn any game into a strip game if you're creative enough, and that's a good way to allow people to ease into whatever their comfort level is. Every gets as naked as they feel is comfortable, then you can start swapping "favors" or "truth or dare" style challenges or whatever instead of stripping once you're as naked as you want to be.
Why do they run? - Why do most couples run when you suggest a real full swap? - Yes, some responses do seem to be a bit \"hostile\" as someone put it...(and I\'m sure mine is about to sound the same)...but maybe that is because they may have felt attakced by the originator saying they must be insecure. How about instead of judging the \"security\" of a couple by saying, \"they must be insecure if they don\'t want to do this...\" consider that there are as many ways to swing as there are swingers. Yes, some people develop their boundaries based on \"insecurities\", others simply because of what they like and desire. We just aren\'t in this to go off and play around with other people, this is something we share and enjoy together. If you are into that, that\'s fine, but don\'t judge others because they aren\'t.
