Black Ring, Right Hand - How to tell if someone's a swinger - OMG! Just had a client walk in and notice my black tungsten wedding ring (I've had one for a couple of years now.) He told me that it I were to wear it on my right hand it would indicate I was gay. I told him I had heard that it indicated other things (didn't elaborate) and he assured me, and I guess he would know since he and his partner have been together over 20 years and finally were allowed to get married last winter, that it meant gay at...least among his friends and acquaintances. Every now and then a post will pop up on here talking about meeting a couple outside the lifestyle and wanting to ask "Are you swingers?"
Last year my family and I moved up to Spokane Washington and once we got settled in got to know our neighbors. Turned out the couple next door was near our age and had a daughter close to our sons age, so instant parental friendship since our little ones hit it off.
After a while of getting to know them we became better friends and that question started to kind of creep up in my mind. One sunday looking through a swinger website I happend across a couple who lived in our town, about our age similar intrests and they looked vaguely fimiliar. it wasn't till I got further into their photo albums that I recognized the tattoo on the male half of our neighbors upper arm.
I started laughing and called out to my wife "you'll never believe this!" I kept laughing and told her "I knew there was another reason we got along so well."
Turned out that we weren't what they normally look for in fuck buddies but the friendship we had built up more then made up for the differences. So its been a year and occassionally we still get together for fun time. Its nice to be able to go over to each others houses on the premise of a sleep over and just wait for the little ones to tire themselves out. Then tire ourselves out.

Preconceived Ideas - - Wow, great subject! My preconceptions of swingers were very similar to Big D's. Wild orgys, naked bodies everywhere....ohhhhh sounds pretty hot ....LOL

Seriously, we have met some of the greatest friends EVER. Friends that you can depend on when you need them.
Fun friends to hang out with who aren't shocked if you show a little skin, or a lot of skin. People who totally understand the double meaning to lots of subjects, friends who see you turn your head and watch the couple who just passed you on the street and know EXACTLY what was just going through your mind!

Trying to find a fun "lifestyle-nude" resort for a vacation... - any suggestions... which are better.. hedo11, hedo111, desire, etc.. (others) thanks - We have been to a number of the nudist resorts around the Southeast US and Florida. The posts that advise that overtly sexual activity in the public areas is not allowed are correct.
That is not to say that there is not some touching and flirting but it is generally in the hot tub or conversation pools and very late at night.
The more "adult" nudist resorts we have visited are:
Paradise Lakes, north of Tampa -- nice upscale resort. The dance on Saturday night can get very close to an off premises swingers club. Couples can connect at the dance, move to the conversation pool and then back to your room or condo.
Caliente, a bit farther north of Tampa -- a true resort, very upscale. The dance on Saturday night can get wild but in our experience a bit more restrained (other than the ladies costumes) when compared to Paradise Lakes.
Both Paradise Lakes and Caliente have Yahoo Groups that serve as an swingers introduction service.
Pleasure Grove -- north of Atlanta near Cleveland GA. -- This is not an AANR resort so they are more relaxed about adult play. It is couples only, adults only. After the dance on Saturday night the party moves over to the Charter House. The Charter House is an on premises swingers forum. The problem is the accomdations are very rustic and the crowd can be small in numbers and large in other ways.
One thing to remember as you explore adult resorts is that not all nudists are swingers and not all swingers are nudists.

In general I would think that as a single swinger I would want to bond with a woman that wishes to live this lifestyle. At least that would work for me. So to that end, finding a single post that is really a married post is always a disappointment. But as long as you are clear in your profile, I say no harm, no foul. I am a single Male and I even know that. Maybe swingers have evolved and maybe some have upgraded to a hybrid status and want to include a single Male or let the wife have fun on their own. I am under the impression that it doesnt happen to often.
