We feel you handled the situation in " high road" fashion, and certainly gain our respect for having done so. To be there to back your wife up if "no" wasn't accepted, is not only proper, but is in fact the only way swinging can matain any civilized credability.
We also agree that violence is the absolute last option to chose. Going to the host of the party as was stated already is a very good idea.
We have been to several really large parties that were totally open to singles, and only one time was there ever a problem. The hosts were informed, and the violater was asked to leave by a group of the men ( host included), and that was the end of it.
It would be unfortunate if this one incident were to make you swear off all clubs or parties as they can be alot of fun in a totally different way than meeting a couple or a small dinner party can be ( although we certainly could understand you being skeptical about it).

It's an age, old, question. - No, I'm NOT 94.... - Meh. Fuck who ya wanna fuck and don't fuck who ya don't wanna fuck. It's all about mutual attraction and we all get to decide what parameters we will incorporate in choosing fuck partners. Be it age, common interests, body size/shape, or just simply sexual attraction. We can't help but remember when we were n00bs and people would occasionally get upset when we didn't want to fuck them. We called it the "You're a swinger, I'm a swinger." syndrome and it boiled down to some people not taking polite rejection well. We were often accused of not being "real swingers" if we didn't hop into the sack with someone simply because they also happened to be swingers, regardless of mutual attraction. People all too often seem to get butt hurt very easily simply because someone declines to bump uglies with them. Put on your big boy (or girl) panties, pick yourself up and move on. There are FAR worse things in this world than a particular person or persons not wanting to have sex with you. If someone rejects your sexual advances just give them a polite curtsey, a little wink and tap dance off the stage.

I Don't Care if You LIKE Me... Let's F**K! (???) - - Ok... We recently (accidentally) overheard a conversation between three "newbie" couples. Earlier, we had talked to them and during the conversation had briefly mentioned our personal ideas about "Friendships" vs. "Notches on the Bedpost". (We're Pro-Friendship). We explained that we have many friends in the Lifestyle that we have never played with - as (we believe) most Swingers do. (?)
Anyway, during the course of the later (overheard) conversation we heard from two different participants the comment (and I quote), "I don't CARE if you LIKE me, Just F**k me and I don't care if I never see you again."
At first, we were annoyed with this attitude. Then somewhat amused. Now we're just curious... about how many "Seasoned" Swingers have this "You don't have to like me - Just let me F**k you" attitude... and how exactly that works? (We figure that if we don't like someone, why in the world would we share ourselves THAT PERSONALLY with them?) HOWEVER, we realize that not everyone thinks like we do and that there are a lot of different attitudes and feelings about the Lifestyle... and we're really curious now! Please share YOUR TAKE on this? We're not looking for validation on our own Lifestyle Ideas and Values (we don't need it), but we DO have Inquiring Minds and we're interested... No Judgments... Utah - - OK, I just have to throw out something I have been noticing alot. A bunch of people seem to rag on Utah and say that everyone here is judgemental and that this place is hard to live in. I have just read in alot of posts that they dont know how or where to meet like minded people.
First , I think this site is a perfect start, or a bar, or whatever it is yall like to do, start there. Maybe its because I live in Ogden, but i havent really met, or have anyone in my life who really judges me for what i think or do....Maybe its because I have a good radar for cool peoples lol. And just make friends who i know are non-judgemental..Anyways I am not from here (been here 10 years though) but I fairly well like this place! And there are alot of Swingers here, which i find to be the best attribute of any place!!!
