Lake Powell Trip June 11-14 (Last Topic got deleted somehow) - - OK,, not sure where the Announcement went but lets do this again....
Every year, we put on a Lake Powell trip. In previous years, it has been a mixed crowd,, swingers and vanillas. This year we are going to change it up and add a trip in June that is Lifestylers only. Dates for this are June 11-14. We are still doing the August trip as well, but it will be a bit tamer than the June trip.
Houseboats will be availible for those that want to go. The cost last year for the houseboats worked out to be around $800 for the 4 days per couple. This included fuel. With decreased fuel prices this year, it should be a bit less. If we get enough people to warrant it, and if I can talk the pig supplier to provide pigs twice in one year (Yes, Buttabing, this is directed towards you) we will do a luau pig on Saturday night.
Last year, some people tent camped as well so staying on a houseboat is not a requirement. As a courtesy though to those that are renting the houseboats, if you do use the amenities of the houseboat such as bathrooms, showers, cooking and kitchen stuff, etc... you donate to whoever rented the boat.
Having a boat is not a requirement. Those that do have them don't seem to have a problem "adopting" those that don't.
A bunch of peeps from this site went last year and from what we hear, everyone had a good time.
I will need commitments from those that want to go no later than March 29th so I can ensure that I tie up enough houseboats for those that want them.

If only you could tell in public who is and isnt in the LS - - For anyone squeamish about my whole branding idea we could always just have all swingers get microchipped...and then we all carry around scanners. Don Juan has his freedom of speach and as much as I may disagree with his position his rights are just as important as mine. certian rights are so very important that a group of men back around the late 1700's decided to expressly write them down. freedom of speach was among those rights expressly protected not given in the document (Bill of Rights). those in uniform and out of uniform alike may disagree with our political goals and how the military is used in the accomplishment of those goals but never the less the military has been asked to fight and so we do. 1) Ucouple - you did a FANTASTIC job of calling out all the things I was thinking about rude3050's profile and you weren't rude or condescending. You were sincere and helpful and that is AWESOME! I hope we can cultivate more of this kind of a culture in this community. Thanks for being the example! :)
2) rude3050 - you took the constructive criticism and advice you were given and acted on it right away, very effectively and without getting defensive. Good on you man! Your profile just improved by leaps and bounds today. I don't have any idea what the lifestyle scene is like in Kansas but the changes definitely improve your odds. Kansas swingers take note of this guy!
3) All the other thoughtful, encouraging and kind words in this thread...kudos all around!
We all tend to get hung up on the bad behavior - sometimes it seems like there is an awful lot of it. I think the majority of the real people on this site value kindness, honesty, inclusion, etc. I'm going to make an effort to focus on and call out the positive more often - starting now. Swingers clubs in Amsterdam - - Almost forgot,
Don't walk in the bicycle lanes. Some of the bicycle riders there are very aggressive about getting where they are going & if you are in their lane, some of them will not be shy about knocking you aside.
Do try to take a canal ride while you are there & try to take in some of the sights. There are some good little museums there as well. In fact, Schipol Airport has a little mini museum right inside it, along with a casino, hotel, good restaurants, clothing shops & everything else that most other airports don't have. That airport is almost like it's own little city.
One quick little travel tip that I figured out several years ago: If you get a stopover in Schipol that is less than 24 hours, it is considered a layover & not a separate travel leg, so you don't get charged extra. Since Schipol still has lockers that can be rented, it is possible to connect through there, drop your main luggage in a locker & catch a train downtown with just a small back pack for a day of sightseeing & other fun on your way to other European destinations.
