Moab Utah - Swingers in Moab - We go there at least 4 times/year. Love it there. We haven’t been this year yet because we were not certain when everything was opening up. In addition to state law hurdles and liquor licensing nightmare laws, each city has difficult sexually oriented business licensing requirements and ordinances. Yes, a nieve person will think that a swingers club is not a sexually oriented business, but city leaders and members of the public will make a big push to ensure a swingers club fits within the ordinance definitions. The licensing process is very public and anyone involved in the licensing will have a lot of exposure. Licensing applications often require background checks, names, business site visits and walkthroughs, and ongoing mandatory surveys after the business opens. Publicity and continued legal battles with the state and city scare couples away.
Research Plato’s a Short-lived swingers club in NYC that was briefly open. During its existence it was continually challenged, closed, reopened, raided, and ultimately put out of business. If NYC ensures Plato's went out of business how is a swingers club in Utah going to fare?

LDS Survey Results - - Believe what you want to believe, but how can you judge anyone else for their actions or beliefs? So what? you don't agree... no need to get nasty or judgemental of others who believe differently than you do. I venture that since you were once a practicing Mormon, you feel the need to be as judgemental as you deem others in the religion are. Quite sad that you must have had some bad experience with someone who was active LDS which put a bad taste in your mouth. People aren't perfect. Nobody is. One must strive for their best and make their own decisions as to how to live their life. If that means I go to church and serve in callings, I'm not being two faced. I am exactly the same person at church as I am with my friends, both swinger and non-swinger. Do people bring their sex toys to church to use in sacrament meeting? No. Well, they must be two-faced too. Who I am as a core human being is not defined by us having extracurricular bedroom activities. There is no lying or deceitfulness. You may think it's wrong, but my husband and I (and several other LDS swingers we know) are comfortable with our choice to play and can still be decent moral people. I don't wish to argue, just wanted to voice that I don't feel ANYBODY has the right to judge.

What is up with Utah?! - Swingers in Utah and nowhere else? - We just moved from Utah to Florida, hopefully we will meet and make some new friends here! How to identify yourself as a Swinger - - Yes, the black ring has been around for decades. Along with white rocks in your yard, flamingos, upside down pineapples, etc. I'm sure these things were helpful and even needed before the age of the internet.
Nowadays, there are so many ways to contact and meet people, I can't imagine the need to randomly bump into to other swingers.
In fact, the black ring is so well known, that that is the reason I DON'T wear one. I knew about it about 18 years ago, well before I ever considered swinging.
So, it's useless for two reasons. 1. Not enough swingers use it to be of much use. 2. Too many non swingers know about it to be very practical. But with the sites and parties and events, there really isn't much need for it anyway.
I'm glad I started all this recently with the internet to use. I really would have hated wearing black rings and putting white rocks and flamingos in my yard and upside down pineapples in my window. :p
