Black Ring - Who has theirs and how have they caught on? - We have talked about this at parties with our group. Most have no idea about them and those who did said they never worked for them.. We also brought up the UPSIDE DOWN PINEAPPLE in your grocery cart and also the Pineapple flag flipped over.. Most had no idea on them either.. Some say they would try the pineapple in the cart while shopping, but most just say: We'll wait to hear from peeps coming to parties!!
Side note: One of our son in laws wears a black ring in place of his expensive wedding band while at work. One of his friends asked him if he and our daughter were swingers. HE WENT NUTS... Age - New to the swingers community - is age a factor in how a couple is viewed? - WE agree with stich...we are 30 and 26.. but our age range is 21-45. She enjoys older guys, but we have played with all ages. Yes there is a point where if someone could be your parent is too old. But we generally try and stay with in that range.

Poly ideas - Ethical non-monogamy...I like that label. - A few other "Poly Ideas" we have had...a beach resort for swingers called "Poly Shore". Jeans with special condom holders made exclusively for the lifestyle called "Poly Pockets". A full time art school for swingers run by "Leave it to Beaver's" Tony Dow,called "Poly Wally Doodle all the Day" . The high end grocery store/basketball arena for lifestylers called "Poly Pavilions". But it turns out it was just a slightly nicer "Poly Vons" grocery store/basketball arena. And lastly a white supremisist lifestyle dating site called "Poly want a Cracker".

The idea of the black ring has been around for a long time. As early as the 60's by some accounts. However it is not generally well known. As such it's very uncommon to see anyone wearing them in public. Mrs. DandD and I have only seen one other couple wearing them and we have only had one other couple notice ours that we know of.
It's also important to to note that black rings carry different meanings depending on who is wearing them. Members of the of homosexual community have been known to wear them on the right hand ring finger to indicate marriage when living where marriage was not legal for them. Members of the [url=http://www.asexuality.org/home/]AVEN[/url] community wear them on the middle finger of the right hand to identify each other. Finally swingers wear them on the right hand but not on the middle finger generally out of respect for and, I'm guessing, to avoid being confused as member of the AVEN community.
