Dental dam, opinions, thoughts and the like - - Been doing this north of 25 years now and have NEVER seen a dental dam used. EVER! Met all kinds of people with all levels of comfort as far as STD awareness and prevention is concerned and still no dams. I think most swingers (and the vast majority of vanilla people actually) are very good at denial. Bottom line, if you swing you are engaging in risky behavior and you, on some level, need to be aware of that fact and okay with it. Oh, and Sir Newby, if by highly selective and picky you mean not fucking anyone but your significant other then I agree. If you mean anything else then I'm sorry to say that you too are in denial.
Why so much hate in the swingers world... - - We have been in the lifestyle for a few years and have had the pleasure to play with single men alone and in party situations. Occasionally there is a man who turns things into a "sausage fest". Meaning; we have seen married men pushed from the fray by single men, and the women being overwhelmed by uneven numbers. We have also had the pleasure (and I mean that literally) of playing with very respectful single men. I hate the fact that for some one bad apple... unfortunately that is kinda how it is among human beings. Sadly the majority of our experiances have not been really positive. There is the risk of attachment (been there, not good) We like the even numbers, in a house party situation but if what we are looking for is a threesome... Bring it on! Hot discussion - Hook up section? - Fascinating topic. I never really noticed until someone said something but now it all makes sense. As the male half of a couple, I created this profile to troll forums, gather info and meet friends... It never occurred to me that posting as a "single guy" would have such an impact. I can see now why.
To piggy back on what was already said, I believe the "hook up culture" is in fact very real and has given a lot of single males the false belief that EVERY site is a hook up site, and there is some level of security hooking up with a married woman instead of a lonely single lady (they're not looking for a commitment, just sex). That said, there are a lot of male swingers (like Joe) who understand the lifestyle without having a current female partner.

Parties - Venting - We go to many of the parties and know many of the planners. They put a lot of effort into creating a great experience. This is certainly party season for Swingers. Its unfortunate that the price has risen this year because there are going to be great fun people who can't afford it and not be able to attend. The party planners do an swesome job creating the environment and the opportunity for us to all get together, but it is the people that come, that make it epic.

What is it to being a swinger couple - Is it always this way - When you hook up with a couple, you are hooking up to the part of their life they in general want to keep secrete. They don't want you as friends that will filter into their everyday normal life. And there is always times where you know the other couple are great people, but the sex just was not that good. Most all sex is fun, but some sex is way better. You have to be able to sep real life friends and sex friends, its not often they mix well. People have their family, jobs and life in general to protect and don't want you close to any of it or should I say will risk having you close to it. It's not personal, it's reality and swinging is fantacy and you were a booty call. If you find true friends, generally the playing stops. You don't want to risk true friends for a quick piece of bootie. We see swingers who seem to have play friends that work, but if we see them a year later. It has almost always chaged for some reason. So relax, have fun and move on. There will be couples you do not want a play date with again too. :)

If you read my husbands first post, he did give you a on-topic, cordial and legitimate answer to the question you posed. You chose to be offended when he told you that regardless of what you think, people are going to talk about what they want to.
I was merely stating that you complain about arguments errupting within the forums when you are promoting it yourself. It does not make much sense to me. If you are unhappy with a topic why not start your own thread pertaining to what you wish to discuss? There are just as many people that would love to discuss various subjects pertaining to sex as there are who would like to talk about something ...else.
I for one, do not enjoy talking about sex all the time or war and death all the time. So I pick and chose which topic I want to comment on. It does not bother me to surf through many topics as I like to have a variety to chose from. If this site was about only one subject or the other, it would be very boring. I rather enjoy reading most of the posts wether they be about sex or not. It is entertaining for me.
I am not here to start an argument with you or anyone else. I was just posting my thoughts on the topic... Nothing more, nothing less. There's no need to get personal with me.
