New Swingers Club in Utah - Gauging interest in new club - All, we've been trying to explore this idea for over a decade and there are many legal challenges. There is a public indecency law, even for private clubs. If you have a legal license, and you accept any amount of money, you fall within this law.
Trust us, we've been trying to figure this out ourselves as we've been wanting to create something. Right now, the safest avenues are private mansion parties and legal lifestyle friendly and/or off-premise clubs which we are starting to explore.

Psychology Research Results - This is a follow up to my earlier post. This is what I found because some showed interest. - I would like to thank everyone who did the research survey for me. I hypothesized that non swingers would view us as more capable of deviant behavior like using drugs and alcohol in large amounts. I was correct. I hypothesized that swingers were more likely to use positive methods to handle relationship conflicts and I was also correct. I also hypothesized that swingers would have high openness to new things and high extroversion. We did find that swingers were more open to new experience but there wasn't enough on the other. Something we found interesting was that non swingers used more aggressive methods to solve relationship conflicts and they had high sexual depression. My teacher is talking about possibly working on this to get it published. I am beyond happy that I can show us in a better and more recent light. Thank you all for your help. Recons 6th annual backyard bash! - - Just wanted to say a huge "thanks" to Recon for throwing another Phenomenal backyard party! Everything from The beds in the orchard, the tent, the lighting, the guests, the nudity, the food, the Taco Vendor from the corner of Sears on state...it was perfect! This was the best swingers party we have ever been to! We can't remember much after the second round of margarita's, but the hot, hot, hot people doing the "wiggle" on bed 3 in the orchard is etched in my mind ;) hahahaha! We were Happy to meet new couples, and it was good to see old friends, as well! Recon, we Love you two! Thanks for all your hard work for The 6th annual Summer Back Yard Bash!

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - The news has never been about balance. They have to keep up with what public perception is. Or they create the public perception they want. Lets not talk about Utah having the highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation... or the fact that Utah and all of the wonderful enlightened mormons have a higher divorce rate than the rest of the nation... Lets talk about one lady. Obviously confused about more than her weight, with a bad marriage to start with. Who as a mormon, decided to "swing" to fix her marriage! Get this woman in a facility and FAST! ... We have enjoyed the lifestyle for a number of years and have an amazing marriage and are very much in love. Which according to her and this news piece is just not possible! God I love Utah sometimes...

Swingers Next Door! - ABC news story on Swinging! - I've heard that the A&E show is just what I thought it'd be, the young & beautiful and tension emanating from the vanilla neighbors. Of the 3 things I expected, so far, apparently, there hasn't been a marriage destroyed by swinging, but I'd be surprised if that doesn't turn out to be part of this "reality" show. But after just 1 episode, it looks like I'm 2 out of 3.
I'm sorry, but I really think the show is an attempt, probably successful, to exploit something most people would find edgy and fascinating. I'd love to see a REAL reality show about swingers, but somehow I doubt that will ever happen because it wouldn't fit the "successful TV show" formula well enough. The closest I know of to an honest portrayal of things society thinks are taboo was that "real sex" series. And look how long that lasted. Certainly not long enough to have covered the many things that would have fit into the show's premise. If it was still running now there'd still be lots of things out there for new episodes. My suspicion is that while the title might have been, the actual shows just weren't sensational enough for it to be a long term success. ~ Terry
