ksl - did you watch?? - I honestly don't think there should be too much concern that anyone is going to start 'searching' the internet to find out if they know anyone on sites like these. They are already 'disgusted' as it is and i'm sure they won't chance having a site like this 'appear' on their computer. I honestly think they made their opinions and judgements briefly as they watch the segment last night but it wasn't something that was powerful enough to cause much of a stir. After checking my access logs for the site as well as my placement ads on the search engines designed just for the state of Utah when someone does a search on the keyword 'swingers,' there was not even a substantial jump in numbers. There was actually less people who searched for that keyword as well as 'utah swingers' than any normal monday night or tuesday morning.
I honestly believe most people have already forgotten about it. But for those of you who want to take that extra precaution, it's totally understandable. I just don't think it's that big of a deal to anyone like we thought and if it is, not enough to get them to start searching the internet for it.

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Just watched the story on the news and was EXTREMELY relieved it wasn't aired on a Get Gephardt segment. LOL Yeah, so the lady in question said she decided to swing with her husband to save her marriage after she gained a lot of weight (guess swinging is easier than a diet or taking up jogging) and that they went to "orgies" all over Utah...naming several cities and "even Bountiful" (the story showed the Bountiful temple a few times during the piece- she said being a Mormon she felt very uncomfortable swinging in a home within view of the temple). She also claimed that she was at a house party and the hosts young kids walked in. She says she started drinking because going to parties she felt like she was in the 5th grade where you wouldn't be chosen for a team...her husband was chosen to play but she wasn't. She has to go to rehab for her drinking. Eventually she wanted to quit but her husband supposedly refused and started going out solo and gave her gonorrhea. They are now divorced. Heidi Hatch was the reporter and apparently she started a profile and was communicating with couples here on Singular (yes, they identified Swingular by name and showed numerous screen shots and even some profile names) who wanted to make sure swinging wasn't portrayed in a purely negative manner. Iβm defense of single males - Funny old geezers - We are in our sixth year on this site. We are also currently on three more sites, even after dropping two more. When we joined Swingular, we were taken aback from the negativity toward single guys. We did not see this this level of animosity on any other of the sites we are or were on.
Aside from the folks from Idaho and Wyoming (and very, very few nationwide), this site is predominately Utah based. I am not negatively judging Utah since a survey or research was never done, but we had to wonder if this hatred is a Utah thing. Or was it a few couples who made it seem normal to criticize, demean, humiliate; and then everyone just jumped on the bandwagon? Human history has taught us that ostracizing is easier than accepting. Who knows? We certainly don't understand it.
Many couples correctly point out that single guys are not [b]"swingers"[/b] since they don't swap. But, we believe that single guys are part of the [b]"lifestyle"[/b] for many couples. Why is fmf ok, but mfm is not ok?
As a side note: The vast majority of our play is with couples(our preference). But we occasionally like mfm for the different dynamics it offers. We have been very lucky with mfm and haven't had a bad experience yet, which I cannot say is always true with every couple we've met.

Players Club - Use it or lose it! - We certainly do not expect every lifestyle couple in Utah to make it a Saturday night ritual to make it to the Players Club, but since almost all agree that they would like a place to go and meet and have fun on weekends where there is not a special party, we feel that those that can try to make it out. We are cetainly not expecting anybody to put other obligations aside ( I know that we certainly don\'t) but then again if we have the time and a couple of bucks we love to see our friends and meet new ones. We might not be able to make it every Saturday but the ones we can, we can\'t think of anything better.
When we were having couples night on friday they were still getting good crowds and now that the club has agreed to do it on Saturdays it should even be better.
And lets not forget that it is not just a club for swingers or lifestyle people. It is meant for all couples or single females and that is part of what makes it so much fun.
