Observations from the other side of the room - How to enjoy the lifestyle as a single male - I am not the expert, but I believe that the amount of time that I have been in the lifestyle and the friends I have made gives me some sense of how to have the best time I have debated whether to write this but I think that those single men who read will benefit. SWINGULAR is an adult dating site, advertised as a swingers hub. Most men who join are well idiots at first. I have received countless questions from other guys about my "luck". Luck has nothing to do with it. The Swingers lifestyle or non monagamous lifestyle isn't new, but many members are. Here are some basic things that will enable you to enjoy the experience. Single men are not unique. It doesn't matter how hot you think you are or how big your cock is, if you are an ass, just stay at the bar. Single women and couples are who we, assuming heterosexual and even bisexual men, are interested in meeting. Remember guys, asking if the person is down to fuck isn't going to work. I am not the expert, but I have been in the lifestyle for six years and met a number of couples and single women. My advice is to make friends. Even plutonic friends who invite you to parties and outings will ensure that you meet people who you have chemistry with. Find a 'sponsor ' so to speak. Word of mouth is more valuable than a testimonial on your profile. Don't try hiding what you say to the wife from the husband. My rule of thumb is that when I am taking to the wife, I assume everything will be seen by both. Basically if you don't want the husband to see something, don't write it. This is a short list of things and by no means authoritative, but it has helped me to enjoy the experience.

Favorite bars in utah - - Yes, I read the article. Our experience (getting close to 30 years in the swinging trenches) has shown that the authorities almost invariably use other (easier to prosecute) issues to shut down naughty things like swinging parties. Recently in Texas they're trying to use zoning ordinances and disturbing the peace and, believe it or not, parking ordinances. Quite often it's alcohol related. Not too many years ago with a local, fairly prominent swinger who held frequent parties in his upscale neighborhood they nailed him for providing alcohol to minors (apparently one girl at one of his parties was not yet 21). And I would ague that Las Vegas is anything but tolerant for swingers parties or really anything related to sex. They love to sell the idea of sex but when the rubber meets the road they are as intolerant as anywhere we've been. I don't remember the last hotel takeover we attended in Vegas where a topless pool wasn't promised and then shut down by the local authorities. Of course the big money hotels have absolutely no problem providing topless pools...if they can charge a hefty premium to do so. Vegas is all sizzle and no steak (in the vernacular of my grandfather).

Swingular Sucks? No Sexies to Hang With? - REALLY? Ya Gotta Be Kiddin' Me! -
If you see us on Saturday do say hi we don't bite. At least that is our story.
Damn, no biting? And I really like my nipples to be ... ummm ... ahhh .... yeah, OK, No biting then! [em]Emo_49[/em]
This site should be called Utah Swingers Only.
Hey, we can't help it if we're a fun bunch up here in Utah! There's lots of stuff happening in Vegas too! (and Florida? although I know that's no consolation for you AZ folks!)
That's why I joined this site. Last site I checked out was a graveyard. I was a bit shocked when I saw all the parties and people around here in UT. So I agree with Pals, I think there is lots of things to do. We got pretty lucky and got contacted by a great couple, and they've been extremely nice about letting us slowly ease in the LS. We have enjoyed time with them, and hope to check out a few of these meet and greets, etc, after the holidays. Hopefully we can run into some other couples that are as down to Earth as the two we've met with. My wife and I are still pretty new, but it's been fun so far.
It's good to find the right couple to start with! And there really is lots to do, and lots of people to meet. That's really been the biggest difficulty for us -- with family constraints it's difficult to find the time to have all the fun we'd like to have! ;)

who's spouse do you want to fuck - - Well Damn! We get busy and don't spend as much time in chat and now no one wants to sleep with us anymore. :( LOL j/k I can tell you if we were in UTAH we would be having a parties with all you hoties. Cant wait to finally get up there so we can play! I personally would love to run my fingers through TG hair while ravishing his body. MMMMMMM and that Siren. The things we would do. Lest we not forget other UT hoties Irish, UTHOTCPLEX, bigDlilT, Fun4u2 our CO swingers like capt/ally, hunt, and on and on and on. I like the blind fold game sounds like fun! S&B

People Who Try Too Hard - - Whoever could you mean??? LOL http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/forum http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/conversationalist If there is an ongoing debate in the forum (it's usually called a discussion... The very point of a forum), then wouldn't you agree that the likelihood of someone involved in a conversation, posting more than one time, is pretty damn good? Ask yourselves, how many one sentence or one statement conversations have you had in life? People who enjoy or seek this in forums are called "conversationalists". It's not wrong to get to know others. That is, after all, the reason we are all here. The poster puts their view out and the reader can decide whether they agree, disagree or desire to further discuss or elaborate on their side. It's like a dance of the minds. Some like the waltz, some like salsa, while others like a Mosh Pit. Just because you don't mosh doesn't mean that you should attempt to deny others of enjoying it. Tolerance is what I am getting at. I am a self-proclaimed asshole, but I still have the right to express myself. I have differing views from lots of people here. That's what I find to be beautiful about people. We are all unique in some form or another. It's uncovering those uniquities, I find to be the "buried treasures" among the vast diversity of people that post here. It's a small window into their being. You don't always like what you see, but it's still there no matter how much you complain. It's like those who had DJQ kicked off of here. I hated his views and all for which he stood, but in the end all he was guilty of was written expression of his view. Many wanted his head to roll and had him removed. Why? Because he didn't agree. Hell, he attacked my very service to this country. I hated his views. However, I still think he had the right to speak his heart. Admittedly, The forum became slightly less exciting after he left. The majority who read the forum remember what a prick he was, but they do remember him. He contributed to the conversation, no matter how skewed we felt his leftist position to be. I'll close my post with this... We are swingers... Don't you think people would disagree with our lifestyle choices, our views on marriage and the morale implications (if you are religious)? Furthermore, doesn't it all come down to personal choice. Just like you have the choice not to read this very post. :-) Just my thoughts, nothing more. Respectfully, -Mr TR- P.S. I whole-heartedly invite you to tell me to fuck off for my differing view. :-)

Why so much hate in the swingers world... - - we are looking for friends ,, the friends i have now,, we can party & set around , talk, joke. and whatever.and not worry about what is said or who said it. To give you an example our friend Glen got him a new girlfriend she is spanish, now our friends are people of all colors different religons, there polish italian, irish, african american, etc..etc.. But Glens new girlfriend is new to the crowd. She been dating him for about 4 months. Now we don't swing with any of these people, the problem we have is this ,in our group of friends and Glen is in agreement with this , that we all have to watch what we say now if we say anything that has to do with spanish people, as in joking, cutin' up, whatever.she will get mad. If you can't sit around and joke and cut up without anyone getting offended then your not friends. We have tried to discuss this with her, to no aveil... This is what we are looking for, friends that can get along... without all the other bullshit that goes on in the rest of the world.. kristy & alton

Single Males - -

...get a girl to join you....Not only do you now "bring more to the table", but you have the added credibility that if you can find and finesse a girl into joining you in this little adventure we call swinging (whether it be a girlfriend, a wife, a second cousin twice removed, or just a hot fwb) you might just not be a giant douchecopter.
Ignoring the need to "finesse" someone and unhealthy gender stereotypes in general, this line of reasoning is a little troubling as it presumes that a male's company is inherently worth less. Or that an absence of semi-romantic relationships somehow speaks poorly of his character. I personally think approaching someone whom you aren't already fairly close with and soliciting to go to a swingers party is a bit out of line. Especially if her company is sought as an accessory to demonstrate to others that he is not, as you say, “a douchecopter”. Call me old-fashioned.
I know we can't be the only people who secretly wonder just a little bit about some single guys and why they aren't with somebody. Do they secretly hate women (yes, we've met some that actually do), are they just too lazy (or busy, maybe...but hey, we're all busy) to find someone, are they serial killers and/or just not very nice guys?
Oh, I hope you are! That's a really unfortunate outlook to have. Promising relationships take time to find, let alone build to the requisite amount of trust and stability to try things like this. In the mean time, I don't see anything wrong with someone pursuing their interests while still holding out for someone worthy of their emotional investment. To me, that behavior is quite attractive should be respected! It doesn't get any better than someone who is confident, self-actualized, and motivated to pursue their desires. Sadly, it sounds their gender influences whether this is seen as a desirable trait. I'm not sure how long you've been out of things (30 years?), but it's easy to forget the struggle when you're comfortable in a marriage. Things are more fluid. People don't feel the need to settle down like they used to.
I know many will say they've tried and swinging is a deal breaker for most women. After almost 3 decades in the swinging trenches meeting and talking to other people, both couples and singles, we would disagree....many, if not most, women could eventually come around to the idea of swinging once they feel safe and secure in a relationship.
This is just confirmation bias if the evidence comes from a sample of people you have met while swinging.
...those of us who DID put in all the blood, sweat, and tears into a relationship and allow it to grow to the point of daring (don't think for a second we aren't risking a LOT in opening up our relationships to other people!) to allow others access to our significant other sometimes wonder why some others want to take a shortcut to all the sweet swinging bennies with little or no risk on their own part.
If you're not comfortable sharing your wife with someone you might view as a potential competition, you definitely don't have to. On the other hand, there are a lot of people enjoy it :) This smacks of the old “you must suffer as I did” chestnut.
Yes, I agree, "finesse" was a poor choice of words. In my defense, I was at work and rather in a hurry to make a point...that apparently I didn't make well (and my attempts to also be humorous apparently fell flat too). Rereading my post it does smack a little of mild gender bias but I can assure you that it wasn't my intent in any way and most certainly is not my outlook on women, relationships or life in general. My intent was simply to advocate approaching swinging as a mutually desirable activity that two partners desire and share equally in. And not that it matters, but I've shared my wife with probably over a hundred men, married and single, and I've never thought of any of them as competition. But I never thought of swinging as "sharing" my wife either, but instead as her deciding to be sexual with another person and me being totally okay with her decision to do so. Sharing her, to me, almost denotes some sort of ownership or at very least some kind of permission that I would have to give. Both those ideas are not a part of our relationship. Perhaps the concept of "competition" in swinging interactions is a single male attitude? I don't know. And I didn't mean it in any way, shape, or form as a "you must suffer as I did" trope but simply as the idea that we invested a LOT of hard work and time making our marriage what it is and together deciding to risk opening it up to the excitement and also the possibility of harm that is swinging. I think, perhaps, that sometimes single people in the lifestyle don't quite understand the very real possibility of permanent damage (or worse) to the relationship that couples who swing are flirting with. For many (most?) of us, our marriages/relationships are THE most precious thing we have. What, if anything, are you risking? A bruised ego?

Craigslist Personals closed now what... - Craigslist Personals closed now what... -

It's a PLOT! Big Swinging has lobbied our lawmakers to take down CL personals so they can charge whatever they want just so poor swingers can get laid. They can HAVE my swinging when they pry my cold dead cock...er...uh...nevermind. [em]Emo_9[/em]
Damned dick control lobby. If you try and take free booty calls away from single men, then only single men will post free booty calls. Wait, does that make sense?
Dick control means TWO hands on my cock when it fires!
