Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - That would be a general definition. However, sometimes the devil is in the details. With that definition, poly couples would be termed in the same group as swingers under the banner of libertine. So would soft swingers, etc, etc. We feel the definitions are kinda important because it causes awkwardness and waste of time if we don't know what we are getting into. For instance, if we talk and you are soft swingers, we now know we won't get anywhere fast because we are not into soft swinging. You, OTOH, will not have the awkward moment where we get together and at the last minute, we do something you don't like. IMO the labels help us filter out what we want from what we don't want.
Swing Camp (7/15 - 7/17) - Swingers Campout in Birch Creek Idaho - Yes, we have considered Fall Creek and an older group used to hold campouts there in the past (called "Booty Camp"). One of the primary considerations for us as a group is that we have some place we can reserve because it would suck to plan something like that and get people, especially ones from out of the area, to come only to find that someone beat us to the spot (it is not uncommon up here for people to take their campers to spots they like, such as Fall Creek, and leave them there for weeks or months, which makes it difficult to plan an event. There is a reservable area at Fall Creek, but we didn't get to it in time. It is something we will be looking at for next year, for sure.
Looking for fit couples our age SLC - - How fit are we talkin' here? A BMI under 15? Marathon time that qualifies for Boston? Holding eka hasta vrksasana (the one-handed tree pose) for 60 seconds? Able to leap tall swingers in a single bound? Cuz we don't qualify under ANY of those criteria. But here's a slightly older pic of Ms. Evil after her Crossfit class at the gym. Black Ring - Who has theirs and how have they caught on? - It's a numbers game... Less than a tenth of 100th of a percent of the population of Utah is into swinging..... First Meeting - - After about 5 years of being in the lifestyle that is still a problem for us on knowing when is the right time to take it to the next level. Our first time was unexpected. It was back when then web cam became popular and we played on cam with some friends of ours. One evening we went out to have a few drinks with them. After an evening of drinking we said our good-byes at the bar and drove home. We didn't realize that they followed us home and pulled in the drive right behind us. She asked can she use the bathroom and when she came out of the bathroom she was naked. And we have been swingers ever since. We are still very close friends with them and hang out all the time.

We have been to the meet and greets too and we don't go very often and have not been to one in ages. Maybe twice a year we hit one but when we do go we pretty much introduce ourselves to everybody and if we missed someone we didn't mean to. You do have to be proactive to be successful in meeting people or at least reactive in a positive fashion when someone interesting approaches you. We have been to Habits and ended up leaving with someone, but we had already had a bit of friendly back and forth somehow with the people we left with or it was someone we met previously and had at least chatted a bit. We think we have only been there maybe five times altogether. Well, maybe Mr. Delicious will put on a collared shirt just in case we head that way but for now we are thinking maybe the Green Pig sounds fun. [/quote]
