Where are the Midwest Swingers? - - try C4P dot com. Predominantly midwesterners.

What makes you ignore vs. view a particular profile? - - Did you see our attachment, you go on a date without seeing pics first, this is what you will have knocking at your door.. LOL. Ok, there seems to be an underlying theme here.... PICS!!! Holy crap people everytime I see an email or think someone is cool in the chat room and click on their profile and it has "0" pictures, it really pisses me off. How many people out there do you think would honestly meet someone or a couple without seeing them? I've even asked the question and have had people tell me honestly that they have met people without seeing them!! No Freakin Way! Look, we aren't pretensious, and are the first people to hang with and find friendship and great qualities in everyone we meet. BUT, and that's a big but (no pun intended lol), we aren't sleeping with everyone on here. There is a thing called "chemistry" and "attraction". Unfortunately for us, we aren't out to get banged by every willing couple. If we click, and there is great chemsitry, chances are HIGH that we will hook up. But I'm here to tell you, if we can't see you and you don't post your pictures, you're wasting your time. And DONT try and IM us at yahoo wanting to chat if you don't identify yourself. If we could design and develop a swingers website, pictures would be a prerequisite. No Pics, No Profile, period!! Am I sounding harsh? I hope not, but it's the truth damn it! So PUT YOUR PICS ON YOUR PROFILE!! Thank you. Uthotcplextreme.

Poly-Swingers - Moving beyond FWB relationship -
May I recommend a wonderful book? The Ethical Slut: A Practical Guide to Polyamory, Open Relationships & Other Adventures. Written by Dossie Easton and Janet W. Hardy. I found this book very positive, helpful and informative. A wonderful guide to that "evolution" you are referring to. Best of luck!
Thank you so much, I will check it out. :)

UFO's - Your Opinions Please... - Being one of those that firmly believe that with all that open space up there it would be a terrible waste to be truely all alone. I have seen in my life things that I can not explain, I am hoping that when contact is made that i am one of the first to make their greeting. Or...........................we may already be here watching your kinky swingers parties and your highly erotic couple and are just waiting to make our move???????

How do you spot a Swinger..?! - tell tell signs of the lifestyle - The wristband would be very cool for big parties and swing clubs. Diane has a necklace with an apple that has a bite out of it from NASCA (was "North American Swing Clubs Association" but now just "NASCA" because they're international ). For those that know it the symbol says it all and for those that don't know it could be just some Mac fan or teacher thing. She did get called out on it once in a very strange way. She was at at GYN appointment with a specialist and he asked what the "Apple" was. She said it was her NASCA Apple and he came back with he had heard about it and "always wanted to try swing dancing . . . but somehow didn't think it was about that type of dance" with a smile on his face. She said if it was not for the position she was in she might have had a good come back but it was all to strange at the time. Both him and the nurse seemed very comfortable with the topic . . . we had heard there was a GYN doctor in the area that was active in the lifestyle so it could have been him. The real trick of having something that both shows your lifestyle and at the same time being innocent is being ready to go one way or the other when asked. Our family sees our boat's name (Swingtide) as just a nautical thing about the change in tides and how it matched a change in our life too. Those that know us online and we cross paths on the water spot us without a problem for something more than the change in sea level. It is too bad that we, as the gay community put it, can't come out of the closet. We have no international "rainbow flag" that we can fly and no "Swinger's Day" at Disney World. Lots of places and people come out with something to sell to identify but hide our lifestyle. The problem with that is it's always changing so there is no way to know. In most towns asking about a Swing Club would be hard because there are not that many and lots swingers don't go the club route. We remain a hidden community connected in groups here and there be it online places like this or clubs or just local groups of friends - we miss out on a lot of new friends because we have no clue who is who most of the time. They need to add a wrist band for couples willing to play with single guys (or not willing). I guess it could get a bit complex - Bi female of full swap/same room/couple sometimes willing to play with single female or a single guy . . . how many wrist bands would that be? New sales pitch at a swingers club "Programs! Programs! Get your programs here! You can't tell the swingers without the program!"

KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - we were kinda getting busy last night when the story aired, and just now watched it on the web. Wanted to add something useful to this thread, but see that it has taken a downward, spiraling turn into some geeky abyss.

Are you more or less tolerant? - -
We think that in regards to your own appearance that you just cannot take the negativity that will be thrown your way too seriously. When we first formed this profile there was a group that threw parties that had a strict "undressed code" as to how you should look naked. A lot of people understandably got offended and there was a lot of banter and unfriendliness in the forums. We actually got several invitations, from some members of that group to join. We declined the invitations but we were surprised we were invited. For all the banter back and forth we would not have been welcome due to our age and or some sort of flaw in the body. Perhaps the exclusivity was the sell point and the members were more average than you would expect. Not that there is anything wrong with average. What the hell is average appearance anyway? Acceptance meant you were a notch above the rest in the eyes of the members as in the only true swingers. Does feeling sexy about yourself have to come at the expense of others? I do not know if that group still exist anymore. The founder fell in love and went monogamous last I knew. Well about that same time we submitted application as it were to join an older longer established group that puts together parties because we thought the parties looked like fun. About 60 days after our submission to join the group was sent we got back an e-mail declining our participation. We could get upset and lose time and joy wondering if we just were not sexy enough to be considered among the elite or we could just move on and know we were still going to find new and exciting people and adventures anyway. The real reasons for denial are only found within the person or persons that said no and if they have their reasons those same reasons do not make them bad people. I like to think that way at least. Mrs. Delicious just told me, as she was walking out the door to an appointment, that if they don't like her there must be something wrong with them. We can imagine until the cows come home and we will probably never guess right and it really does not matter anyway. I like to think the group, that told us no, is fun and is having fun but will just not know us. You cannot be part of everything anyway. The tendency for us to imagine that any group that might reject us is full of miserable losers that would not know sexy if it bit them is not good for us and the no was probably delivered with a lot less intolerance than we are imagining. I think we should concentrate on discovering more joy by fully focusing on the doors that are open to us. We are all going to get rejected from time to time and it might hurt but don't dwell on it. Opportunities to connect and to live and love surround us all.
Well written my friend and as a single male in this lifestyle this is something that needs to be preached and practiced

real members? - - I have to disagree with you on your valadation process.. the ONLY thing that your photo or cam session proves is that it is a real person NOT a real swinger. In order for someone to prove that they are a REAL swinger.... There has to be some kind of reference referral from other swingers. Holding up a sign does NOT provide if they are swingers or not!!! BTW.... the couple that started this forum topic are REAL!!! We have never played with them but we have seen them at several parties. They are as real as they come. :) Carrie
