FNG ,but hey I get it... Really - - I am encouraging people who are really interested in this lifestyle to be genuine and courteous. I may be throwing some meet and greets as soon as I get a girl who will help me host. (parties a big work) but I got the house for it. I would love to have a party every 60 days; so we, being a small and select few who really enjoy our lives to the fullest can have a setting that is open and not costly to meet folks who live near by and really want some genuine people to interact with. I hope we can be as active as Utah seems to be. I have emailed a few of you here some no response, others great tips and genuine friendly advice. Remember it is not a party with out you. California Orange county I know you are out there I do what I can to promote this lifestyle and pioneer for new friends, lovers, acquaintances and referrals. If I could get some friend invites that are Local I would throw some nice baby hugh hefner* parties. I am just getting involved and I have some great game, genuine personality and very approachable. I am not easily embarrassed but can be hurt. So a simple ignore or no thank you is what I would recommend. Swinging/Polyamory - I just wanted to hear other people thoughs on this....... - We think the problem is that people see the equation "sex = love". IOW, if I have sex with you, I must love you. Therefore polyamory and swinging are the same. After all, if I don't love you, I won't be having sex with you. The way I see it, swinging is like a game of golf or tennis. I might play a game with you but I don't love you. Similarly, I might have sex with you but I don't love you. Poly, IMO, is basically having a relationship with that other person and sex is involved on some level. Kinda like "I'm in love with you and oh, BTW, lets make love" The way we see it, swinging is about exchanging sexual partners for recreation sex. In an orgy situation at a party, you can have sex with that person with zero words exchanged. In a poly relationship, there is a real connection going on besides just sex. Sex becomes incidental just like it is with married couples. With swinging, there is no emotional attachment. Is that a good thing? Well, it depends. We need to understand the very simple nature of things. We do this to avoid that. That is human nature. Many swingers DON'T want emotional attachments and avoid them because of the complications they cause in the first one. Are there benefits to the attachments? You bet. Is there a price to pay for that benefit? But of course. Is it worth it to you? That depends on your viewpoint. In our life as a couple, the problems poly cause BASED ON OUR OPINION (your's may vary and no right and wrong here) do not outweigh the payoff. IOW, we don't think the benefits of a poly relationship are worth the problems it creates based on our opinion. YMMV

Help With Wife - Wife has fantasies but is super hesitant to experiment. - Meet N Greets. Nobody will be playing right there at the event, no automatic expectation that you're there to actually hook up, etc. Don't expect to NOT ever get approached by anyone, but the expectation that you're there to play, like there is at most house parties and many other swinger events, won't be the case at a Meet N Greet. You can meet and get to know people just like you would at any vanilla gathering, except that you'll know that the people you meet either are or have a desire to be in the lifestyle. As for that catch 22, don't worry about it. Yeah, hooking up with a vanilla friend or friends would likely have some impact on the friendship one way or another, likely not a good one. And it could even be dangerous, depending on how important it is to your life that people in general don't know you swing (assuming that you eventually do swing, that is). But your wife will find that ending up playing with people you've become friends with is pretty unlikely to ruin the friendship when those people are swingers.

Preconceived Ideas - - Wow, great subject! My preconceptions of swingers were very similar to Big D's. Wild orgys, naked bodies everywhere....ohhhhh sounds pretty hot ....LOL But at the time for me it was scary. Swingers In Uniform - Pay your memorial day respects here. - Hello All, I would like to put down some of my (KinkyJoker) thoughts on this thread and some of the posts here. I fully agree with the post & poem from SNS2N1. Memorial day is not my day, it is the day that I thank my Brothers & Sisters that have given their all. I would also like to point out that while most believe that a Military member is willing to give their life for thier family, the fact is that they are willing to give that life for their comrads. I have yet to ever hear of a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Marine that was thinking of home when they jumped on a Granade/pushed their buddy out of the line of fire/rushed a bunker full of automatic weapons/willing ran in to a hail of bullets to grab a wounded buddy, they were all thinking of saving the life or lives of their buddies. For them, I feel both the swelling and crushing of my heart at the rememberance of their deeds. Also, as stated by SNS2N1, the day for me as a Vet is Nov. 11th. I feel extra blessed because my birthday is the day before, Nov. 10th. Now while this is not the day I was physically brought into this world, it is the day of my birth into something that I will be until I leave this mortal plane. A Marine. However, to be fair, I am a Former Marine, and much to the shame of my best friends, I am now currently in the US Army Reserve. I fully thank the powers that be, that both of my best friends made it through Operation Iraqi Freedom unharmed, as well as the entire roster of my old unit. Now, on to Don Juan. Yes, I am willing to defend his right to show just how big of a self-centered, puesdo-intellectual, narrow minded little piss-ant that he is. Because of what he said I will not say that he must be a member of the Demorcrats (Sorry, Extreamly Liberal Republican here), nor will I make guesses at his orignal place of birth. However, I think that it is much further away then Great Britain, as in not from this planet. While I agree with the Chief, Sgt & Spc Cole, and RED64ANDME on what we should do with him, I have to point out that in order to truly fulfill our oaths, we need the politicians to state that he is a domestic enemy. That way when we stomp a Mudhole in his ass, we are not violating his rights. Now if you really want to do something to him, just pray that karma will come to him or that life will change to where stupidity really is painful, if not deadly.
