It is a place for couples only! Its a place where one can wear a swim suit to the pool or hot tubs, or take them off and be naked. You can be naked anywhere but in the dinning area. Its all inclusive with all the alcohol you desire. The food is pretty good (far better than most all inclusive places). Its very liberal and that is why Desire Pearl and Desire Rivera Maya is the go to places for those in the lifestyle.
Yes, there is swinging going on in the playrooms and in the cabanas by the hot tubs in the late afternoons and after the disco at nights. The people are from all over the world and it is rare to find the "Utah judgmental attitudes there. Most everyone is there to relax, drink, meet new people and yes, to enjoy their sexual desires.
Temptations Cancun lends to topless only and you will get all sorts of young couples attempting to talk their partners into trying the lifestyle and most fail miserably. So it is loud and most are not lifestyle with the accommodations not as good. Desire RM is our favorite and we have been to all of them including Jamaica and the Cabo resorts. Desire Rm is fun, a party of adults and just more free spirited. people "play" here more than others and is the sister resort to Pearl. Desire Pearl has better rooms but not by much. The food is similar and we tend to find half are nudists, not swingers. So you never know if you are hitting it off with a couple that ends in naked fun, or hitting a couple that mows their lawn naked. Don't get us wrong, we love Desire Pearl (it is fabulous).
This is why we go to the Desire resorts at least once a year just to cut loose for a week of debauchery and laughs.
Do you only play with married couples? - - I'm going to add something that is taboo, the concept of a couple taking some time together as if to steal away from their partner where one or both are married and / or swingers. Isn't there some additional excitement to do so?

Couples Copulating - How the hell do ya match up? - We must be very lucky I guess. We've only been around since April and we strictly play with couples or a group. Both the guy and gal need to be accepted by both of us, and yes it's a hard combo to find. Even in a group situation we need to feel ok with EVERYONE involved. there is a guy who just started at my work. he is from Venezuela. doesnt speak a lot of english. i know enough spanish to direct him but it frustrates me. ive worked with people from vera cruz, mexico who refuse to learn english or speak it. ive worked with bosnians who dont speak very much english...tibetans..muslims arabs...israelis and palestinians...and a turkish guy who GREW UP HERE and still doesnt speak much english. i do agree that they should put some effort into learning the language of the country they are living in...just like if i went to their country i would be required to learn their language...they aint gonna change for me...although i do make an effort to learn a couple phrases in their language for fun. thats pretty much all that bugs me about immigrants in this country...the language barrier. gives you a reason to get to know them...maybe if you heard their stories you would understand why they are here. one of the bosnians i worked with was royalty in her country...maids..their equivalent of millions of dollars...but in the war, their houses were demolished or used for army personnel. so they came to our country and now work as maids and cooks in hospitals. in their country they dont work...the guys work, and the women cook and clean..so coming here is hell for them..but they are here..they have no choice. you want to send them back to their country? their bullet ridden houses and swimming pools full of corpses..? i couldnt live with myself sending someone back to that hell.

Actually, single "swingers" are a relatively new concept. When my wife and I first started swinging (the late 80's!) there weren't ANY singles in the lifestyle. In fact, it was several years, at least, into the lifestyle before we saw an ad (that's how swingers connected back then, thru ads in cheap magazines sold in porn shops) from a single male. We vividly remember someone passing the ad around at a swing party and everyone marveling at it and wondering out loud how he could enter the wife-swapping scene (that's what many still called it back then) without a partner of some sort.
Yes, the definition of swinger has changed or perhaps evolved is a better word. But there would BE no lifestyle, no swinging, if it wasn't for married, or at least committed couples, opening up their relationship to other people. Swingular would just be an AFF or a Tinder if it wasn't for couples. You might want to consider not getting quite so butthurt and taking your own advice about "show(ing) a little respect". Trust me, the single males who actually ARE successful here are those who do exactly that. If you don't believe me just ask around.
