Unfortunately its naive to think a doorman would actually be told how to respond or give it much thought otherwise. Its unlikely they care unless they know it would jeopardize the business these events bring in. We realize the risk of being found out but we also realize that deniability is just using the right words should you ever fall into the circumstance of being asked if you where there for the swinger event at Lumpys.
So our response for someone vanilla that we know would be OMG can you believe we wondered into to that event...wow what a funny mistake(as we laugh both inside and out). My experience with this topic is pretty varied. Obviously I not only list myself as bisexual but I also am transgendered; so in the swing lifestyle my potential partners are severely limited. But with that said, I have also met a large number of sweet and understanding people out there. I have also met a fair amount of swingers on a more intimate level. Thanks to our religious "western society" however, listing yourself as bi, does pretty much brand you.
There have been plenty of opinions on this subject in the forums since I've joined and I'm sure long before hand. searching - search forum topics - If you are really committed here are the steps to use Google to search (yes people the forum is indexed on Google) and then view it the regular viewer on the site. BTWs, it's totally crap that we have to do this and that the site doesn't work.
1) use google.com to search by adding "swingular.com:" in front of your keywords (e.g. "swingular.com:kik". This tells Google to limit results to just this site.
2) Click on the result you like and you'll then be taken to a hideous, somewhat sanitized (vanilla, hehe) view of the post that is totally unreadable. Don't panic yet.
3) Grab the number from the URL (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/swingers/i/16397/KIK-Chat would be 16397)
4) Make sure you are logged into the site and add your number to the post view url of https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=[[number here]] and press enter (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=16397)
5) Come back here and post again about how stupid it is that you have to do that
