Wishbones - - I think this is a great idea! We once went to a local bar for a gathering of swingers (not a swingers bar), but didn't know the regular couples from the swingers and spent all night not approaching anyone and not being approached. (more than likely because they didn't know we were swingers). I could see this working, but the problem is we need to spread the word! Also, where do we get one of these? just how long does it take ??? - - we have been swinging for 8 years now and have heard everybody say what fun it is . we have been to just about every party and club around here you can think of. and we have made very good friends from all this but we got into this to spice up our marrage. when we go to any party people are very nice to you but just dont want to have much to do with you . and no we didnt just set there and act like a wall flower. but its everywhere we go .its like we scare people or something. as of last year my wife said she has had enough of spending money to go to parties and have people not want to even talk to us except to say hi thanks for showing up and giveing us your money. so she stoped she said she is over all the drama from everybody. i cant blame her now . what ever happend to haveing good sex and go on ? we wa seven going to throw some parties here at our private campground for free. but thats most likely not going to happen now . we have tryed for 8 years thats a little bit stupid dont yeh think. east tennessee is not the place to meet swingers. at all.its full of fakers and wanna be and those that are real are the ones throwing the parties and they just want your money. with the exception of one cpl in cosby tenn. they are honest to goodness for real people they told us that they was to old to play with us , the age differance. so i ask you where does that put us now . and we cant move.

Tired of Politics and Religion! - - Quack quack ;) There is a reason why there are many categories on the front page for forum topics. It's called diversity. Something that many so-called swingers claim to hold as a tenet of their lives. So...in theory, there is a little something for everyone. Gosh...there are even sexual/Lifestyle-related categories...which PROBABLY means that someone...if they get REALLY wild and crazy...just MIGHT actually generate a thread that's based on something sexually oriented. Of course...it's wholly conceivable that those same "someones" JUST might prefer to expend their energy composing and generating a thread that whines about the non-swinging threads. Perhaps ADMINISTRATOR should add an additional category to the list and call it "JUST FOR THE SAKE OF WHINING". I'm certain that this thread would be very apropos for that category. Come on people...get real...and get a life...and evolve. If you're soooo tired of the religion/politics discussions of late...start a thread of something you like; of something PRODUCTIVE, and bump the ones you don't like off the front page. BUSTED! Your Kids Found Out Your Swingers. Now What? - - When we first got in this lifestyle 15 yrs ago a couple we were seeing told our daughter. She said she was drunk and didnt know what she said but thats another story. Soon what my daughter knew my son found out. We just sat down with our kids and explained to them what our needs where and what and why we do this. Our daughter totally was exceptable and my son just chooses to ignore that fact. As far as family I dont know if they know or not but if they do they are all open minded enough we wouldnt expect any problems. Dave and Jackie

Rules - - This is not merely an issue on Swingular, but is a mind-set that we have encountered on every site we have belonged to, in every geographical area, and at many parties. Seemingly the single ladies get the accolades, while their counterparts, the dreaded single males, get the proverbial foot in the ass. Is it fair? We don't think so. However, it is what it is, and not likely to change soon. I'm sure that everyone has an opinion as to why this occurs (opinion/assholes being synonymous; everyone has one). Here are a few of our thoughts.... Perhaps one could say that this disparity is due to the fact that most couples are searching for females...either single or part of a couple? This is only PARTIALLY true as there are many swingers that are not looking for singles of either gender. Many couples are, in fact, only looking only for other couples to share friendship and intimacy. Perhaps the old adage "Men are a dime a dozen", comes into play? Well...one has to admit that yes...us guys really are rather numerous. Regardless of being within the Lifestyle or out....you can always find a guy, willing to hump your wife. Go to any vanilla event to find that out. Many might say that all single guys are pushy ass-wads, that lack the intelligence, class, or sophistication to show respect and patience towards a couple that's willing to share intimacy with them. Again, not totally true. We have met many polite, kind and respectful single men. We have also had numerous run-ins with females...both single and married, that have been just as crass, obnoxious and presumptuous as the most obnoxious single guy anyone could imagine. We like to call them the Bi-Nazi's: you know...the "it's-all-about-the-women" types. This brings me to yet another mentionable. There is also an unspoken "assumption", that just because any individual of the female persuasion is involved in swinging...she's automatically "bi-curious", "bi-sexual", or "just doesn't know that she wants to be yet". The obvious outcome of this mind-set is that unwanted advances, groping and attention comes towards the females/couples that are not looking for this type of interaction. Ironically, the same advances made by a male, married or single...would be dealt with severely in most cases. However...with the ladies...many consider it "appropriate", if not expected. Do you see the double-standard? Somewhat hypocritical I would say. Many get so caught up in stereotyping, and outcomes having to look a certain way, they are quick to assign social roles to various members of our Lifestyle. In the process, they forget objectiveness, compassion, and open-mindedness. Isn't that what we, as swingers pride ourselves on, "open-mindedness", and being "out of the box"? Ok..since sweeping swinger social changes (wow, say that fast three times...haha), are not likely to happen...Siren and I elect to manage what we know we can, and that's ourselves. We never expect anyone or anything to be anything but themselves, and let their actions and behaviors be the ultimate factor as to how we interact with them, regardless of marital status, gender, or seeking preferences. Swingers Vacation Spots - Help us - I have to agree with a couple responses above...HEDONISM ROCKS. Hedo is in Jamaicca. They have 2 spots. Hedonism II and Hedonism III. They are an all inclusive vacation that you would buy. Depending on the time of year you go, you and your spouse could get an ALL inclusive (yes this includes drinks too) for probably under $2,000. We have intentions of going for our first trip to Hedonism in October 2004 (this will be our 10th anniversary).
