Private Pics and Someone Likes You - what is the purpose. - This is a good topic and I have a few words to go with what has been said so far. For the most part, when the private pics was invented on this site (way back in early 2000), we wanted an easy way for people to add others so they could view them. Because we don't have a 'favorites' feature, people started using the 'add to friends' as a way to 'bookmark' who they thought were possibilities, etc... Thus people getting tons of 'Someone Likes You' messages without further response. I've done it plenty of times especially to build up a list of people I 'Liked' just from what I saw or read so if we ever had a private party, we could invite.
Now, after personally realizing that this did not work the way I WANTED it to work and that they were actually two different functions, we've decided to create a new feature called 'Favorites.' Its basically a personal tagging system so you can tag who you think is 'hot' and who you may want to contact in the future. This allows you to keep two separate lists. One for actual friends, another for favorites. Also, because we have the custom photo albums now, you can choose to put your more risque stuff in an even more private folder and selectively add who you wish to view them. THIS IS AVAILABLE NOW. Just go to your photo albums page and click the CREATE NEW ALBUM link.
So for those of you who are wondering why you get so many 'Someone Likes You' emails, it's not the fault of the person sending it but rather a missing function on the site. For those of you who get an additional email because you didn't reciprocate, don't look at it right off the bat that these are picture collectors, because there are a ton of people who are real swingers that know they can't hook up with someone '5' states away but can still make a friend and get their jollies from just chatting online and seeing pictures of each other. Who knows, maybe one day that trip will be worth it. With that said, I'm not saying how they approach you is right, no one should be mad or beg to see your private pics just because they allowed you to. I probably wouldn't want to respond back to someone like that either. So hopefully by adding a 'favorites' feature will help reduce some of that.
Oh, I think someone mentioned something about the 'send a kiss' feature missing from Swingular as well. That used to be a feature here but it became a very hot topic just like this one and more members thought it was annoying than useful as they also got tons of kiss emails with no further response. So we removed it.

Is this one of your rules? What is it? is it fear? or something - Does everyone feel this way? - Phenyx, People/Swingers are all ages from 21 to 60+ and are l;ooking for many different things. Some look strictly for sex... others look for friends first some look for friends with benefits and some of the older couples are looking for one or two couples that are exclusive to each other and provide variety to their sex lives. Thes exclusive laisons are about variety and safe sex... I don't think that anyuone can make statements about anyone elses' preferences within the lifestyle...

Are we really as judgmental as vanilla people? - - [i][b]In answer to the OP, YES. Swingers are just as judgemental if not more so than the vanilla people that we live with. The Lifestyle is just a smaller version of the regular world. And because there are less people in it, it may actually seem like the predjudices are more pronounced. All you can really do, is the same thing that you'd do in regular society...try to avoid the assholes.

We have heard about it many times........... - Couples that are swingers - I think alot of people would agree that it can be difficult to find a good, solid 4-way connection when swapping with couples, and sometimes you don't know things aren't clicking until you're already playing. Stabbing at swingers party? - - A stabbing in Herriman over the weekend has the media reporting it was a "swingers party". I am assuming this is because as the news reports a few couples "got frisky" in the basement, causing several people to reportedly leave and return less than an hour later and stab the party's 22-year old host. The three suspects were all 20 to 22 years old, also.

How would you respond - - Yeah we've come across those cheating singles as well. Either married or have a g/f whom doesn't know. Last SOB story was she had a medical condition and couldn't have sex anymore, however it was ok for him to play as LONG as she wasn't aware of whom it was with. Most recently we had a profile name and description that appeared to be a couple. ID name on other swing-site was " Nicecple4fun " Turns out its a single male looking for a nice couple for fun ... it takes all kinds. We don't feel you did any thing wrong, just the mentality that swingers are cheaters and single guys feel that its pretty ez to poach. We have had several single guys participate with us however we generally meet them at LS events or house parties. Can't really say we've had any luck on any site with a single guy. They attempt to rationalize it away any way they can and feel like they are correct LOL and some just plain rude about it. " he likes fishing and she doesn't ...." wow I guess with that mentality she can take up quilting and cheating too, since I'm sure he doesn't probably like sewing in any form...
