Black Ring, Right Hand - How to tell if someone's a swinger - The thing is, even though people in the vanilla world may know about something like black rings on the right hand, they probably won't notice it, especially with all the people wearing multiple rings nowadays. Most people just aren't all that observant. On the other hand, swingers who know about it will probably look for them. And if someone who doesn't also have one on asks you what's with the black ring, you can just say,"I like it." And if they then say "Did you know that it can mean ....?", you can say something like "Why do you think that?", or "Where'd you hear that?", which can lead to them saying they swing, or let you get out of the conversation without admitting anything yourself.~ Terry

As a single male also in this lifestyle who has faced a similar situation my advice would be to just openly talk about the lifestyle, involve both him and his wife in the convo casually over drinks one night when your just hanging out. Basically plant a seed and see if it grows, realistically if they are into the lifestyle and are open to the idea they will invite you, but its best to let them think its their idea to include you. For some couples it just might be out of bounds to include friends into their sexploits.
Sturgis - - Hi to all the biker swingers out there. We are heading to Sturgis and was wondering who is all going. We are staying at the Chip and it would be cool if we all met up for a ride or some partying. There is a group set up here Sturgis Bound and has 3 members in it. There has to be a few more. Where to go, what to do. - Non club activities - For our first activity we are going to try to diversify and do two activities on two different days.

It is from 6:00pm to 9:30pm and costs $10 per person at the door. This should still leave you available to get to the mansion party that same night if you were going to that.
If you want to be easily identifiable to other swingers (this isn't an event is open to any one) please tie a purple ribbon around your wrist. If you don't want to be bothered with that we will have our ribbons on and I will be wearing an obvious feather in my hat until the performance starts and I will put it back on after it is over.
For the second event I'm looking into brunch on Sunday so I will keep you posted on that.

When swingers are densely populated in an area.. yes.. that's bound to happen.. However, a tiny fraction of the population are actually swingers.. so when you're talking about something "in the wild" (versus at a meet-up), this isn't likely to be a problem.

I'd say we're years (decades?) away from that ever becoming a problem. Black rings would need to be EVERYWHERE before the general populace catches on to it... and then you just move on to something else.

I'm not sure which part of the black-ring suggestion takes "spending a lot of time"... Attending meetups is DEFINITELY the preferred way to find swingers (well, and web-sites, like this one)... But talking to people who've actually seen the black-ring in the wild and MET swingers in open, public, spaces... there's a certain excitement that comes from that.
Maybe I'll just wear my "I swingers" t-shirt, instead. ;)
Swingers Vacation Spots - Help us - I have to agree with a couple responses above...HEDONISM ROCKS. Hedo is in Jamaicca. They have 2 spots. Hedonism II and Hedonism III. They are an all inclusive vacation that you would buy. Depending on the time of year you go, you and your spouse could get an ALL inclusive (yes this includes drinks too) for probably under $2,000. We have intentions of going for our first trip to Hedonism in October 2004 (this will be our 10th anniversary). Swingers cars??? - What ya driving?? - What could possibly a better car than a "Woodie". We have a 47 Pontiac Woodie wagon. Its a great car, fun to drive and yes we get a lot of jokes about having a woodie.
