We have been in a quad relationship for 2 1/2 years with another couple we met as Swingers. There have been ups and downs, but we are all happier than we have been in our whole lives and we are all closer and more in love with our spouses than ever before. I think it works so well because each marriage has been 20 years plus and the other wife and I(I'm the Mrs) are Bi and in love as well. I would just caution you when it comes to introducing your children into this type of blended family. We live within walking distance of our BF & GF, but have chosen not to disclose the full details of our "friendship" to our children(ages 8 & 15) because we feel that it is hard enough to grow up nowadays under the best of circumstances and other people can be cruel and judgmental. I would not want my child to suffer in any way because of my lifestyle choice. I am not against blending families, it is just not something we are willing to risk. My biggest piece of advice would be to listen to others' advice objectively, but only do what is right and best for YOU and YOUR loved ones because every relationship is different and different things work for different people. Divorce rates - How do we compare - My husband and I began swinging together after a month of dating after I, the wife, suggested it and have now been happily married for over 3 years and together almost 4. Doesn't always have to be a pushy husband or a doomed marriage. How about 2 people who love sex and watching their SO be pleased by others? Good communication and a healthy amount of trust and security help as well I suppose. But giving a negative stigma to Swingers that our marriages are doomed seems silly. First time? - - Well said by doers...I think its normal for different approaches to this as well. We've been members on here for quite sometime now, but we really havent done anything in this while...I guess we wouldn't call ourselves "swingers" either but we do enjoy going to the occasional party/event from time to time and catching up with old friends...both of you need that communication as one maybe "ready" whereas the other may not be...that being said...the one that feels "ready" should never be pushy...just take it slow...have fun..and in time, things will happen ;)

To get on topic however, we had no idea the fun and enjoyment or type of people that did this before becoming participants. We have been lucky because most of the swingers we have met are just great people that really enjoy sex. How simple and easy can it get.
Friend collectors or swingers - - Our post was not intended to offend anyone . Just because we chose to operate our account/profile differently then others does not make anyone more right or wrong.
The purpose of our post was to try and develop some knowledge as to why some chose to operate differently. We understand that because our profile doesn’t show our faces, that means a friend request is necessary to determine attraction by exchanging pictures. We do this ourselves, all the time. But we also immediately delete accounts and typically inform those interested if we are not interested.
It sounds like we are complaining but in reality we really aren’t. We just wanted to establish conversation and understanding.
We have received a lot of friend request because of this post and we appreciate all of them but we are selective as well and we will not accept all of the request if we are not interested.
I hope we continue to discuss this issue as we look forward to hearing other thoughts, ideas and suggestions.
