Sturgis 2014 - The wife and I are wanting to know where the swingers play @ Sturgis - Glencoe is definitely the place to go! Last year there was a really fun group and some great hosts! KUTV News Story on Swingers - News - Sorry but that was hardly a balanced report. We will be the first to admit that we have met the least judgemental people of our lives through our experience in the lifestyle. Things don't always click but that should be expected. To give this woman the soapbox and state that people were pushy and basically force you into something was bullshit. Especially after stating that she was the 5th grader that never got picked for the team. She had a bad marriage period. Trying this out with an unstable relationship makes about as much sense as buying a new house and thinking that will make things better. A house does not make a home.
Wishbones - - Is anyone else aware of this? In the Myrtle Beach, SC area people that are in the lifestyle are wearing wishbone necklaces and wishbone jewelry to distinguish themselves as people in the lifestyle. I'd like to see this phenomonon spread. The gay and lesbian communities have their symbols to distinguish themselves without having to announce to the world that they are gay/lesbian.
With most people's desire for discretion within the lifestyle, an outward symbol would not only save alot of question, but could potentially save some embarrassment as well. When people ask me what mine means, I try to answer according to how the question was asked. If someone asks me pointedly what it means I tell them "Good Luck", which is true. If someone asks me about it that has that "Does that mean what I think it means?" look, I tell them it's a swinger's symbol. LOL

In this area, people are fairly familiar with the wishbone as a lifestyle symbol and we can immediately identify couples or singles within the lifestyle. My primary profile pic shows me wearing my wishbone necklace. I'd like to see this symbol adopted as a standard for all people within the lifestyle...Any thoughts?

I think those are pretty common ideas here. We take it a bit further in that we only keep people in our friends list if we have a rather immediate desire to meet up (next few weeks); with covid, that has kept our friends list very small.
Being Stood Up - Sucks to be stood up - carrier, now thats just funny. that said, swingers are as a rule flakes its gonna happen so we recomend just meeting someplace you would go anyway that way when people flake off you can just enjoy your evening without them.
Curious where did you meet? - - I meet James on match.com. We hit it off and he is the love of my life. We have been married for six years and recently started into the lifestyle. I was reading the paper at lunch one day and saw this article about skinny dipping at Caliente Spa and Resort. I called him at lunch and I jokingly asked him if he wanted to go and he was all excited about it. James could not stop talking about it when I got home from work. We looked up their website and some the comments stated they had a bad time because they allow some sexual activity in the pool. Apparently some people went to the resort during a swinger convention and we thought that was cool. We started to talk about if there were other swingers there and we both got excited about the possibilities. We went to Caliente and we got used to the idea of being naked in public. We found out we enjoyed it. We did not meet another couple at Caliente therefore we searched for swinger websites and here we are. We met a few nice couples here and enjoy the lifestyle. I guess I should be careful how I joke with my husband.
