Are we really as judgmental as vanilla people? - - It strikes me that, [i][b]in general[/b][/i], people fall into one of two groups:
A. Those interested in the total social experience the lifestyle offers (multi-faceted).
B. Those interested primarily in sex (very goal-specific).
The number of people in group B is considerable. 'B' folks are much more likely to hold appearance and physical desirability as the only criteria for evaluating playmates. 'A' folks are more interested in the total package.
I don't think it's necessarily right to fault those in group B for their limited interest in people beyond their sexual skills and desirability. How they conduct themselves is another story, however.
Immaturity has been mentioned. Selfishness and poor social skills also surely come into play. Society in general continues to become more and more hooked on instant gratification, leaving little room for concern for others.
This issue is reflective of society in general. Those in the lifestyle are, in fact, just a microcosm of the bigger picture, as previously pointed out. Does anyone really think swingers are any different? If anything, they are a subgroup [i][b]even more[/b][/i] into instant gratification and seeking only specifically what they want.
I Don't Care if You LIKE Me... Let's F**K! (???) - - Ok... We recently (accidentally) overheard a conversation between three "newbie" couples. Earlier, we had talked to them and during the conversation had briefly mentioned our personal ideas about "Friendships" vs. "Notches on the Bedpost". (We're Pro-Friendship). We explained that we have many friends in the Lifestyle that we have never played with - as (we believe) most Swingers do. (?)
Anyway, during the course of the later (overheard) conversation we heard from two different participants the comment (and I quote), "I don't CARE if you LIKE me, Just F**k me and I don't care if I never see you again."
At first, we were annoyed with this attitude. Then somewhat amused. Now we're just curious... about how many "Seasoned" Swingers have this "You don't have to like me - Just let me F**k you" attitude... and how exactly that works? (We figure that if we don't like someone, why in the world would we share ourselves THAT PERSONALLY with them?) HOWEVER, we realize that not everyone thinks like we do and that there are a lot of different attitudes and feelings about the Lifestyle... and we're really curious now! Please share YOUR TAKE on this? We're not looking for validation on our own Lifestyle Ideas and Values (we don't need it), but we DO have Inquiring Minds and we're interested... No Judgments... Saturdays Vortex Party - - Just an idea. Even the wife and I have talked about this. When we first started in the L/S back in NC. We went to hotel Parties. Then a cpl from FL baught a house just for swinger parties. They didnt live there just opened it up on sat. for swingers. It was privite house so you didnt have to worry about cops and you could pretty much do as you like. We had a good time at the V but did not like the fact that on the dance floor there was a wall of guys just stairing you down. I know Ut has its own rules. Swingers Vacation Spots - Help us - Our dream swingers vacation would have be in mexico,there are several resorts there that cater to the swinging lifestyle. They are all inclusive as well. We are planning a trip to hedo next yr and when I went to their site there was a schedule of times when it was swingers mostly. stop being so vanilla - - Most of our friends are in the lifestyle and those that are vanilla know about it. So when the vanilla men see an attractive girl, the suddenly return to infancy, drooling while hoping to see a glance of a boob and get to suck on it. Always pisses them off when they point out an attractive girl to me and I respond "ahh, I have better looking girlfriends then that." I have told them they are so vanilla and one guy thought it was a racial slur. Another told his brother what I say about being so vanilla and his brother told him it is a swingers term to refer to guys like you. After a bit of conversation the brothers learned the one I don`t know is in the lifestyle and the one I am friends with is very curious now.
Swingers Vacation Spots - Help us - We would like to hit europe.. preticular sweeden and or amsterdam. They have whole villages dedicated to swingers and elaborate swinger hotels.
