Swingers - a couples only lifestyle? - Are singles considered to be swingers? - I'm sure this will get a comment or two, but it's something we've thought about and have read about on other sites.
NASCA states about swinging: "Though single men and women are involved, it is primarily an activity of couples.".
So is a single person considerd to be in the lifestyle when they are looking to connect with a couple or single ? It'll be interesting to hear what others have to say. To us, being in the lifestyle means exchanging partners - which means sex between couples. If we bring a single woman in to play it's not swinging - it's being intimate with a third. He/she cannot be considered a swinger because they have no spouse/significant other to participate with them and they're acting alone.
The lifstyle is all about sharing ones self and partner with another couple who feel the same way.
Swing Clubs in Las Vegas - - We are going to be in Vegas the middle of November for 5 days. Staying at the Hard Rock or Planet Hollywood, haven't decided yet. Are there swing clubs there that you would recommend? Also this is our first time in Vegas, what are the "must do's"? searching - search forum topics - If you are really committed here are the steps to use Google to search (yes people the forum is indexed on Google) and then view it the regular viewer on the site. BTWs, it's totally crap that we have to do this and that the site doesn't work.
1) use google.com to search by adding "swingular.com:" in front of your keywords (e.g. "swingular.com:kik". This tells Google to limit results to just this site.
2) Click on the result you like and you'll then be taken to a hideous, somewhat sanitized (vanilla, hehe) view of the post that is totally unreadable. Don't panic yet.
3) Grab the number from the URL (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/swingers/i/16397/KIK-Chat would be 16397)
4) Make sure you are logged into the site and add your number to the post view url of https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=[[number here]] and press enter (e.g. https://www.swingular.com/post.php?_a=view&_PID=16397)
5) Come back here and post again about how stupid it is that you have to do that

The Fun of the Chase - - I wouldn't even call it "the fun of the chase" as much as just liking to get to know people a little bit before jumping into the sack. I know there are plenty of swingers who really prefer no prelims of any kind and just getting down to the sex but that's not usually us.
For us there has to be an attraction on at least another level beyond simply physical attraction. Personality and being able to carry on a conversation are very important to both Ms. Evil and I. It is interesting to see that the bonobos engage in sexual practices such as oral sex, anal sex, gay sex, and group sex, as a matter of course. Could this be the way early humans practiced their sexuality? What about pair bonding? If memory serves, from what has been observed in Emperor Penguins, they pair bond for as long as it takes to raise a chick to self-sufficiency. If the egg does not hatch, or the chick dies before then, the bond is dissolved and the two find new mates for the next season, just as when the chick is able to care for itself. Could this be the way early humans pair bonded? Would this explain the "seven year itch"? Or as Dr. Ryan says," An individual male's "parental investment," in other words, tends to be diffuse in societies like those in which we evolved, not directed toward one particular woman -- or harem of women -- and her children, as conventional views of our sexual evolution insist." Could it be that both pair bonding, and communal parenting were practiced? It seems that some societies did in fact practice some form of sexual conflict resolution, while others practiced conflict of arms. Was that an evolutional turning point? Just some questions to ponder....
Myself, I came to the conclusion that the concept of marriage as we have it originated with the agriculture , as at that time it became important to know that your possessions were going to be inherited by your offspring, independent of reading any scholarly works on the subject. So the idea that early humans lived communally and had sex communally doesn't seem too far fetched.
