We have been to the meet and greets too and we don't go very often and have not been to one in ages. Maybe twice a year we hit one but when we do go we pretty much introduce ourselves to everybody and if we missed someone we didn't mean to. You do have to be proactive to be successful in meeting people or at least reactive in a positive fashion when someone interesting approaches you. We have been to Habits and ended up leaving with someone, but we had already had a bit of friendly back and forth somehow with the people we left with or it was someone we met previously and had at least chatted a bit. We think we have only been there maybe five times altogether. i totally understand where she's coming from with the side effect of the meds. although she shouldn't be having the manic stages unless she goes off the meds. i know how tough those ups and downs can be though. i'm sure some people around here saw me at a few parties and thought i was nuts and/or a very terrible person. i never bothered to explain it to anybody. now i'm medicated properly and it can have its effects as well, but thankfully the new meds don't effect me sexually at this point.

Black Ring - Who has theirs and how have they caught on? - We have talked about this at parties with our group. Most have no idea about them and those who did said they never worked for them.. We also brought up the UPSIDE DOWN PINEAPPLE in your grocery cart and also the Pineapple flag flipped over.. Most had no idea on them either.. Some say they would try the pineapple in the cart while shopping, but most just say: We'll wait to hear from peeps coming to parties!!
Side note: One of our son in laws wears a black ring in place of his expensive wedding band while at work. One of his friends asked him if he and our daughter were swingers. HE WENT NUTS... P.S. Here is a funny little story: I used to work with a guy in Utah who was a returned missionary. His wife and he used to get together with a bunch of other couples as part of a religious/social group. The number of couples grew to about 10. Eventually it became more social and less religious. It finally developed into a swingers group that was quite active.
Then there was some cheating and some jealousy and drama. Eventually it all fell apart and the couples scrambled back to the Church vowing never to return.
