New Primary Picture Policies - Starting March 1st, 2009 - I wonder if our main pic would be considers an obvious sexual act. Poly ideas - Ethical non-monogamy...I like that label. - We were thinking of starting a gun store for swingers and calling it "Poly Armory". But then we realized we like money too much, and investments based on bad puns are never really a good idea.
Maybe we'll have to default to wearing those black rings. - - The porn ban/block/opt-in is incredibly infeasible. Look at Reddit for example, there are TONS and TONS of subreddits (communities in a sense) that have porn. (reddit.com/r/swingers, reddit.com/r/swingersGW, reddit.com/r/nsfw, reddit.com/r/straightgirlsplaying...) It would take a tremendous amount of manpower in the state of Utah (as the ISPs will not do this) to label websites as "porn". Most exclusively porn sites (tubegalore, pornhub) are likely already labeled that, but again the reddits and tumblrs of the internet would take forever to filter out.
Now, about the opt-in list being held with the ISPs. They already know every single customer who looks at porn. Unless you use a good VPN, they are well aware of every website you visit. That being said, while they might not have a list of people that look at porn, it would be really easy for a hacker to, once they get into the ISP, gather information about everyone who looks at porn and share it with the world. If they couldn't get into the ISP, they could still get this information from porn websites.
Unfortunately for the Utah government, this plan is just not possible and is basically just BS to get support for reelections...
Has swinging changed? - - I've been trying to quantify the changes we're seeing but it's a little hard to pin down. For one thing, there seem to be quite a few people sticking their heads in and quickly retreating. Perhaps it's the ease of entry that allows "lookie Lous" to sort of check things out without really risking actually MEETING someone. LOL Another thing we've noticed is that there seem to be more people treating swinging as simply another way to hook up for NSA sex. I mean I know at it's core that's what swinging is but it's almost become a wham, bam, thank you ma'am culture rather than the sensuality of sharing your body with a caring generous lover. Foreplay almost seems to have become perfunctory (if it happens at all) and there's more of a "down and dirty by nine thirty" attitude than there used to be. It's almost a hit it and quit it or get in, get out, go home culture now. Many people just seem to be in such a hurry to fuck that they don't really want to take any time to get to know each other a little first. Maybe I'm seeing things but it just seems like it's changed a lot since we started swinging. I was talking to some people on another site and one guy postulated that the changes were due to the scene being so diluted by people with varied interests that there just aren't a lot of "pure" swingers anymore. Here's something Ive been curious about - - It seems like the lifestyle is no less judgmental than the vanilla crowd. Honestly we aren't here so we can wear the cool lifestyle team jacket nor get our super-secret swinger decoder ring (drink more Ovaltine and use a condom). It's kind of funny that the same group of people who get all bent out of shape at the vanilla community for labeling and judging us turn around and do it from within. If I missed some federal definition of the term swinger than perhaps I'm wrong, otherwise why waste a moment of time passing judgment on who gets deemed worthy of the sacred title? I would have to say the definition of a swinger is someone who says "hey, I'm a swinger!" Be honest, how many swinger couples do you know that never play? They may go to meet and greets, maybe even house parties, but seldom if ever play. Are they swingers? Is there some monthly quota we need to meet to maintain our swinger status? I'm being over the top to make a point. I think of the lifestyle crowd as an enlightened group that realizes sex is amazing and variety is amazing and sex with variety is TOTALLY AWESOME! We forgo the silly social rules and regulations because we understand how much they confine society into little boxes of good and bad, right and wrong; and most of that is subjective moral hogwash. It's kind of discouraging to see members of a community that should be supporting one another pass judgment as to who is and who isn't. Being a swinger is a state of mind baby. Does this happen to any other women? - General Discussion - This is sort of a venting as well as a general question. A bit personal, I know...however judging by other forums, I think it will be acceptable. I just want to know how other swingers perceive it and/or deal with it.
For some strange reason it seems that whenever we make plans to go out to a swinger's club for a special party, or a really good swinger's house party...Aunt Flo shows up uninvited. I have had her show up FIVE days early and/or three or four days late just to ruin a potential good time. I don't know if it's because I'm worried about her coming subconsciously or it's just bad luck but it's quite frustrating :( Please tell me that others out there have this same experience as often as I do and that I'm not alone.
Now I don't know about others in the lifestyle, but I have had many discussions with male friends and boyfriends in my life who won't come near a woman on their dot, they are repulsed by it. This way of thinking passed on to me so I wouldn't even consider trying to initiate anything sexual until Auntie packed her bags and left for the remainder of the month. I find myself very lucky to be with a man who doesn't mind it because it's "natural for a woman" and he has taught me to become quite comfortable with sexy time with him while Auntie is visiting. This is great because I tend to get quite aroused when Auntie is visiting.
