Anyone else getting sick of clubs - - I think a house party would be awesome....never been to one though. I keep moving so I have few friends. I come from Oklahoma "bible belt" so friends that understand and accept the lifestyle my husband and I desire are hard to find. The Black Ring - How to spot a swinger - LOL We've been doing this for a LONG time and it cracks us the fuck up to see these frequent "ways to tell if someone is a swinger". We've heard everything from a white rock in their front yard to an upside down pineapple in their grocery cart. Even stuff like wearing an ankle bracelet on a particular ankle or a single earring in a particular ear. Bottom line is, in this world of almost instantaneous and pervasive communication even if there WAS a ubiquitous symbol of swinging acceptance almost nobody would display it as they would quickly be outed to people they might not want to know about their little hobby. We've gone to conventions and hotel takeovers many times in the past and it usually took about a day for any vanillas nearby to learn what the wristbands mean and start gawking (or even trying to sneak in) and for the swingers to start hiding them under watches and bracelets or removing them entirely so as not to be identified. Another swingsite we're on even started a new smartphone app using GPS that alerts you if there is another swinger nearby. Almost nobody uses it in fear of somehow being ID'd as a swinger.

maybe i can put this in a nut shell, if your at a meet and greet, just party with these people just as if you were partying with a vinilla couple, your there with no expectations, your not hitting on anyone just enjoying that you are out with fun people, you never know they might just invite you to continue the party after the meet and greet, and if they don't, oh well. go to the next one, it will happen, just don't go with expectations, just because we swing, or like single males, that is going to happen, we have many single male freinds that we have not played with, but we are all aware that we are swingers, its just about going and having a good time.

We can share stories about how your other "news" friends chose to partake, but not publicize. Your story portrayed a woman forced into the lifestyle. Anyone forced should get out immediately. That is just wrong. The woman "shown" was not a willing participant and was being abused. It's sad that this was not the focus. Abuse in any form is wrong. She could have just as easily been sold on craigslist to spice it up. This was a very poor excuse for journalism. Good luck with your next "story."

In my humble opinion, even the mormon church has a place in heaven for all of us swingers. The rank and file members may think and treat us differently, but in the end there is a place for all. It is impossible to reconcile the teachings of any religion with the swinger lifestyle, and we each have to make our own peace with that.
