(1) A married person commits adultery when he voluntarily has sexual intercourse with a person other than his spouse.
(2) Adultery is a class B misdemeanor.

I am not sure what you are doing on this site but I believe you may be condoning a crime.

I hope I didn't offend but I don't think anyone should be condemning anyone for condoning a man for committing a crime. Particularly where they are already condoning others for committing a crime i.e., adultery. It seems a little hypocritical. Just my two cents but didn't the bible say something about casting stones.

All of you who are bashing Roque should be flat out ashamed of yourselves. Regardless of your politics, Roques family brought him here when he was 15, I would doubt any of you shit talkers would tell your parents and family that you will stay behind and look after yourself and live in an impoverished nation while they go elsewhere and you will never see them again.

Of course not, and that is how he got here, since being here he has been very productive and has made his life here and worked very hard and is a very giving person.

Nobody is asking for anything else that helping out a friend who is need, nobody is asking you to march on the capital, nobody is asking you to phone your senator, you are simply invited to come have a good time and help out a friend to many of the people on this site, if that is too much to ask of the "open minded" people on this site, then I was truly wrong about the group of people this lifestyle attracts.

And if you don't have anything nice to say...oh right that is what I tell my four year old...but I do appreciate that people are so honest, and like it was said before we know now who we should be "friends with" and very clearly who we should not.

All good points from both sides of the argument. Some points I'd like everyone to consider:

- Utah Code 76-7-103. Adultery is unconstitutional in light of Texas v. Lawrence. So that minimizes the rule breaker argument.

- Riderz statement "We ALL got here ILLEGALY" is not accurate. Both of my ancenstors legally immigrated.

- True, we spend a lot of money on illegals but no one has offered how much illegals contribute to the US economy. I'm betting it is in the trillions. Just a hunch.

- UTCPL, you too can have free handouts and free medical coverage. Quit your job, abandon your house, and donate your car. Then follow the path of the illegal. Let's see how happy you'd be standing in those lines. If it is such a great opportunity, why are more AMERICANS not doing it?

And now back to the main point of the discussion, Roque. I do feel for his situation but we have rules to avoid chaos and anarchy. Follow the rules. He can bond out. Great. Kudos to those of you willing to donate/lend money. I just hope he follows the rules this time.

I won't condemn him for the time he spent in-country nor will we condemn anyone who wants to help him, but if you break the laws you have to pay the consequences. I give the benefit of the doubt to a lot of the opposition, I don't think they are all racists, a lot of them are just into law and order. The problem happens when people use buzz words are phrases that are also used by the racist camp. The debate quickly moves into the standard debate quotes and then into personal attacks. The law and order crowd have good points and so does the financial cost crowd, the racist crowd is still scary.

Wow, I wouldn't mind that the illegal immigrants were in the United States, if they were trying to get paperwork started to become legal, and took care of their part. IE paying for schooling, taxes, medical, etc. I am sick an tired of living next to illegal immigrants that have nicer cars, homes, clothing etc, because they don't pay taxes or for their kids to go to school.

Why the great Ronald Reagan who signed into law on 11/6/86 amnesty for illegal immigrants who entered this country prior to 1/1/82. What you say, the poster child of right wingers everywhere granted some sort of amnesty? Impossible! But true. Wow, I didn't know Reagan was a self rightous Liberal or was he just being realistic? Real Americans? I assume you mean that "real Americans" would be Native Americans, because the rest of us got here on a boat via our ancestors. I'm not saying there isn't a problem with illegal immigration, I'm not advocating blanket amnesty but who is going to round up all these illegal immigrants? We don't have the resources to do that today. Hire more people? Who would pay for those additional resources? The taxpayer? Good luck with that! The US government could pay which would only increase the national debt and you know when those Tea Baggers stop tea bagging one another they would be the first to protest, yet then again they want to round up and kick out all those illegal immigrants... what to do? I guess we could call up the national guard or other branches of the military but they're busy fighting two wars that another President started with no exit strategy (he who shall not be named...whew I'm bushed). We could have the government create it's own police force to roam the streets of "Amerika" and demand from anyone they encounter "Let me Zee your papers?" . Yeah that might work, we could call them Street Sweepers (or SS for short)....I don't know.... We would do better to help Mexico and Latin America develop economically and save every US citizen a few bucks and maybe just maybe everyone's life might be improved a little bit. Heil Hefner!!! I agree with a lot of what you say, just not how you say it. You are using outdated battle lines, the left and right are the same and the only people who don't see it are the dedicated left or right followers.
