I just caught the last half of it it but I thought the same thing. I still can't get over the fact that us as a county can't come up with better people to chose from to lead what used to be the best nation in the world.:s

I noticed that he didn't look at the Litte O that much. Looked like he was looking at the people in the thier seats.........Thats who he needs to win over not the little O. But maybe little O will vote for the M man, you never know. :*
I just watched our local news and they had body language and fascial expression experts on to give their take. They both agreed that Obama came across much more approachable and this would help him in foreign affairs. McCain they felt has the personality where if you do not see it his way then he will play hardball with you and disrespect you as he did by not looking toward Obama last night. My take on what they said is that McCain is the war monger he is always being accused of and Obama is more interested in talking and working things out but when attacked will fight back.
I felt that Obama may have done better but not by very much and nothing has been done to change my mind about voting for Obama.

Having a wife that is in banking I think there does need to be regulations for guns and very stiff penalties for crimes where guns are used. My wife was robbed at gunpoint twice and the lucky assholes got caught by the cops before I got to them.
My first wife was robbed at gunpoint but I was able to catch the guy and to bad he resisted so much but at least I held him till the cops and ambulance got there.
However, gun control and regulations wil not eliminate strong arm robberies. I have not witnessed it first hand but back in the 1990`s in Philadelphia they were robbing people with needles saying it is infected with aids. Criminals will find a way to be just that but regulating guns may slow it a bit.
One final note, and I am sure this is a rare case. My next door neighbor as a kid took one of his dads hunting rifles and put a pillow over his dads face and killed him in the morning. Our houses were connected and the parents bed was against the same wall as mine and the noise is what woke me up for school that day. The son eventually took his own life about ten years later. So anyone having guns in the house hopefully will always make sure they are kept safe.

Yeah I am not for banning all firearms. Hell, I like to shoot too. I am just for regulating the hell out of them, so that only those that are responsible are getting them legally. There will always be crime regardless of guns. Guns don't make you any safer. There are plenty of counts that people are murdered with their own weapons. Regulate them and clarify the 2nd Amendment.

Agreed, but it will make it harder for people to get them. With the amount out there now, it would take awhile of destroying them to make them scarce.
You logic can also be applied to your argument. Guns don't protect you from most forms of crime. Someone could sneak attack you very easily. Guns are a false sense of security. Within 20 feet, someone could stab you in the throat with a knife before you could even get your gun out. Where do most confontations happen... Within 20 feet.
The difference would be Iraq and Canada. Iraq has unregulated weapons everywhere. The same goes for explosives. What's the leading cause of death for U.S. troops in Iraq. <b>IED's!!!!!</b> That's the different. Canada has really strict gun laws and far less violent crime per capita. See also Japan.

I have to admit Obama looked pretty good well prepared for the debate. McCain on the other hand sounded more experienced and even though he didn't look right at Obama I think that was more to show the American people he is going to look at who he works for. Winning political pundits is not what he is about he is a proven leader OBama just talks a good story and Kissenger was quick to point out that he was not too happy about Obama saying that Kissenger said we needed to meet with Iran without pre-conditions. Yes Obama followed his script quite well and we were a bit surprised how well he did without his teleprompter but no way did he change our minds

In order to own an automatic weapon you have to have a "red card," which is a specific license that allows you to own an automatic weapon. Misuse of that right/license will result in you loosing the right to vote, heavy fines, long prision times, and loss to ever own a weapon.

NOT TRUE! You have to complete an ATF Form 4, fingerprints, pay a transfer tax and go though FBI background check. There is no license to own Class 3. You have to have a license to deal Class 3. All weapons should be this restricted. That way only the most responsible could get them.

We had company the past week from Finland and he travels to six other countries as a pilot. The stories he has told us just blew my mind. From someone who has lived thru a depression it was eye opening and we do not want to go thru that. We are headed in the wrong direction in this country and to stay the course is foolish. That is so true based on what I have talked about the past week with our friends. We are not feared nor respected by foreign countries that are competetive with us military wise. As far as this bail out goes, SNN news 6 out of Sarasota had the former president of the FDIC on yesterday morning and he said there is no need for a bail out. The FDIC has a job but the government is trying to step in and do the job for them. Without pointing fingers, he could not understand why all of a sudden Bush finds the need to get involved in their business. He pointed out that the FDIC just handled a 300 billion bailout the day before and it cost the FDIC nothing and more importantly the taxpayers nothing. So if it is the job of the FDIC to handle these matters, and they are more then capable then why is Bush getting involved?

I hate the thought that the presidential election at time's like this will be decided almost entirely by issues like gun control and abortion by many. They are IMPORTANT issues, but we have our freedom of speech and our right to express our feelings on these issues to our govt. and legislators and fellow citizens. If guns are outlawed there will still be murders (and I'm sure many by guns), and if abortion is made illegal there will be illegal abortions and those who can afford it will go to countries where it is legal to have them done, just as it was before abortion was legalized.

Why can't this cuntry(yes I misspelled that with purpose) figure out that the CEO's who are responsible be arrested and their assets be taken (RICO) and then be tried by a jury of our peers. Then they can be placed in a place where they have no influence over the financial system that they have helped to put into the dumpster. Second phase: Fine the oil companies and companies who have been taking hugh profits from the war and then from the American people, in general. I don't mean a couple of hundred thousand or even a million dollars fine... I mean sufficient fines that go into the billions. Not one of the limp dick bullshit things like with the tabacco companies... That was a tracesty adn the execs. walked away free as birds... Look at the oil companies who have been making more profits in a quarter than they had made in several years before the Gulf War. The problem with guns on the street is that they get there by way of robbery which happened to my parents once. I see gun control as a way to reduce the guns in homes thus reducing the chances one will be stolen and used in crime. Maybe instead of taking away a persons right to bear arms we should focus on stronger punishments for those convicted using guns in a crime.

Much like the city of Philadelphia, Deleware being the small state it is, has the interstate going right thru it where the bad parts of town are providing easy escape routes for criminals. Deleware is a great state to live in and Biden is a very big reason for that. However, when you find the bad parts of Deleware they are among the worst in the country. His focus has always been to clean up these areas. With the cost of living being so low in Deleware it would attract people from other neighboring states and the very low income would settle in these problem areas. So no matter how fast you cleaned up the streets, more would fill them the next day.
