Absolutely there is a difference - one is Pledging allegiance to the Flag the other is a song about America - I guess I'm a commie bastard pinko for not putting my hand over my heart at sports events when they play the National Anthem - I remove my hat if wearing one and stand at attention as I have taught my children and as was taught to me by my father who was in the service for 24 years and my grandfather who fought in WWII

If your kids are going to school in the US they will not be praying to Allah even if they had a Muslim teacher, making ridiculous statements like that is what causes fear mongering to exist in our society. You probably work or go to the same places with people of different religious backgrounds and I doubt anyone of them has forced you to anything that has to do with their beliefs.

Chris&Carrie thanks for posting the you tube video on how the Democrats led us into the current market crash. The liberals will find out come Nov 4th they spent a whole lot of time on these forums for nothing after McCain/Palin become the next President and VP. We had the opportunity to go to a McCain/Palin Rally this past weekend we got to hear a POW that was at the Hanoi Hilton with John McCain and after hearing him talk about the character of John McCain there is no doubt in our minds that John McCain is the right guy for the job! You may have it right about not wanting Obama but you have a sick sense of humor when it comes to our troops. Anyone that's taken shrapnel in the face for his country is ok to mispell shit in my book. C&C is as passionate as we are, about his views. We can't fault him for that. The sacrifices that he made were are genuine and no one can deny his dedication to the country. We just believe from our perspectives, that he has been and continues to be misguided by the current administration and to vote for a replacement that will continue to misguide him is ludacris. This doesn't make his intent any less noble or sincere. I don't think voter has bad intentions, it the politician that can have the bad intentions. Do I think Barack Obama is the best candidate, yes. Do I agree with everything he stands for?? No. I just think he's the better of the two for my own reasons. I am not trying to deny anyone else their right to do the same with the candidate of their choice.

I keep reading in this thread that the right to keep and bare arms is a major issue. "We need regulation" "We need to make sure that our guns are not taken away so that we can defend ourselves" (or is that offend ourselves) Even if there are regulations up the wazoo or even ying yang it will have no affect or effect on criminals having or using guns. The only way to stop crime or reduce crime with the use of guns is to make it a major crime to use a gun to commit a crime. If someone uses a gun and does any bodily harm it would be a capital offence. If they use a gun to rob they get 99 years. If someone robs without a gun they get 25 yrs to life... Stiff penalties???? Crime will reduce... but only if we are hard on criminals...
Which brings up a the news about the Viagra shippment that was hijacked.... 4 men stopped a tractor trailor and hijacked a shippent of Viagra last night. Police havent a clue as to who the men are but they are on the lookout for 4 hardened criminals. These guys ought to get 4 hrs to life for their crimes... 4 million counts robery and kidnapping and assult as well a grand theft auto. These guys could retire to Canada and start their own web sales of the drug. Crimes like this should carry very stiff penalties.... Which brings me back to political stuff...
