There is definately a chance to tent camp if you find the right beaches. It does get just a touch warm, but the lake does a good job of keeping things cool.

Froze up the engine this winter. Time for a repower. Not sure if we are going
SUCKS! We missed Totems, seeing Mardonzi and several other good couples and now will most likely miss the Powell Party. Work is a pain! You guys all have a great time. I know we have loved the past parties and will really miss this one. Guess that means Cyns top will remain on her this year.

Well, we went to SLC to meet up with people and met a few of the interested people on here...
The party is on for July 26-29th leaving out of Antelope Point Marina at 10 am on July 26th. We will be able to pre-board houseboats on Wednesday, July 25th starting at 4 pm.
With that said, The houseboats are going to need to be reserved no later than March 31st. As stated before, the deposit cost is going to be $350.00 and the total cost for the houseboats should be no more than $1400.00 per couple. You can view the houseboats at ForeverHouseboats dot com. We usually take out 70' boats with hot tubs. Deposits can be made via paypal (email me for the account information). We do ask that those attending that are not staying on the houseboats but use the facilities (bathrooms, kitchen for cooking, partying on, and fridge space) contribute to those that are paying for the rooms. This reduces the cost of the houseboats and is only fair to those that are paying. We usually chip in $100-$200 for the 4 days for the use of this based on the level of use that we take advantage of. This is on the honor system...
Meals are as follows;
Thursday nite- Pot luck
Friday night- Dinner supplied. Spagetti, Lasagna, Salad, etc...
Saturday night- Dinner supplied. Luau pork (done in a pit on the beach), Salad, veggies, etc...
Everyone is responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches.
Cost for the dinner for the 2 nights is $50.00 per couple total.
The list that is posted is not a confirmed list. We realize that this list is going to change but need those that want rooms on a houseboat to confirm and provide deposits by March 31st. For those that are staying on their own boats or beach camping, we will need confirmation no later than June 1st so we know how many pigs we are going to have to procure.
We do a poker run up lake on Saturday's boat run which is a lot of fun and of course dancing and partying every night on the boats. We donate half the pot from the poker run to a local charity so its all for a good cause! The other half is split 30/20 to the high and low hand.
The location for the event hasn't been finalized yet and really can't be due to beach conditions that are driven by current lake levels but we do know that it will be somewhere in Padre Bay. We will update those that are signed up as we get closer to the party date.

The time is drawing neer to needing to have deposits in to secure how many house boats we need. The weekend that has been chosen is a busy one on the lake and house boat rentals fill up fast.

This trip is open to any and all. Just got to have a boat, or get "adopted" by someone that has a boat, or book yourself onto one of the houseboats. The party is not shore accessible so the only way to get there is on the water.

The lake levels are finally starting to come up. I'm almost done rebuilding one of the motors... again!! and will be back over next week to get it done and test run it.
As AZWW put it, the dates have been set for sometime, but I'm sure that hooking up during other trips is definately doable.

AZWW, I just got back to New Mexico a few minutes ago..
The weather was great.. no wind and HOT!. Boat is repaired and runs fantastic. Probably going to head back over towards the end of next week.. Maybe see you then?

For all of those who are interrested or preferably actually going need to let Mardonzi know as soon as possible. This trip takes alot to put together and the sooner we have a real head count we can confirm how many House Boats are needed, how much food etc..

Piggy update... The pig is doing great! He has been eating lots of corn (this makes the meat very sweet and tender). It will be ready to make the trip to Powell very soon.

Damn, where are all the house boaters? My runabout hasn't been in the water since the last time I was at Powell with Mardonzi in '06 so I'm leaving it home. I am bring my slalom ski down so I hope one of you fun boaters will drag me around the lake a little bit.
The date is getting closer. For any body that is thinking of going and not on the list there is still room available. Mardonzi is keeping they tally list so drop him a line. If you have questions about the trip MSG either of us.

oh sorry....missunderstanding. we were correcting the spelling of comming to cumming. We're still looking at the calendar and trying to work it out. we both work all of the days so its lots of vacation time to take off. we're trying to cum though!
