Last weekend in July is when campout is, Maybe the next weekend.
The goal on scheduling a date is to accomodate as many as possible. We know not everyone will be able to make it so with that said, we try to miss holiday weekends and Sturgis. This leaves late June and late July. By scheduling these times it helps to secure the best houseboat deals.

Since we still have a house in Page AZ.. live there for 10 years.. we have "in's" with houseboat rentals (worked with the great peeps.. well some of them). Nice to still be liked in town! lol! (Mar here!)
Don't forget July 24th, the Great State of Utah birthday. Just saying, it seems to make the Lake a little bit more crowded.

That is our problem too except we will be actually on the lake out of Antelope Point starting 6/29-7/7..guess we'll just have to hear the stories;(

Hey all... A few more specifics.
We will be heading out of Antelope Point on Thursday, July 26th and returning on the 29th. We will be preboarding as many houseboats as are needed for early arrivals around 5 pm on Wednesday night. We will departing around 10 am on Thursday and heading up lake.
The location on the lake is still up in the air but will most likely be up in Padre Bay around Cookie Jar Butte. Beaches have a tendency to come and go with the Lake levels so we most likely won't really know the final spot until we do a "Beach Check" a couple of weekends before.
I will be reserving the houseboats the first week of March so we will need to get a rough count before then. Last time we did this, we did a Meet and Greet at Totems for those that are interested in going and took the deposits for the houseboats there and then. We ended up with 4 houseboats going out plus all of the private boats as well. For those that want to bring your own boats, sea doos, etc.. we can tow them behind the houseboats for the trip up lake.
As part of this trip, we do the dinners. Thursday night is a pot luck, Friday night will most likely be Italian,, and Saturday is Luau Pig,, done in the ground. We run a "Poker Run" up lake on Saturday with several stops so those that haven't seen the lake get a chance to visit some of the must see spots (Rainbow Bridge, Dangling rope ice cream, etc...). Everyone is pretty much on their own for breakfast and lunches.. unless you enjoy pop tarts... lol, then I'm cookin..
Rates will run about $3-350 a day plus fuel for those that want to get in on houseboats. The more boats we get, the better the pricing is... As for the food, we just ask for donations to help cover the cost.

Thank you TNT. That is something that we have to figure out. There will allways be some conflict, we just have to figure out the date with the least.

Well, being as there hasn't been any feedback on this, I will set the date. The pre-party meeting will be held on March 17th at starting at 7:00 pm. I haven't seen any other parties listed on here for St Pattys day so this shouldn't conflict. If there is a party, we'll just have to meet prior to that party and hold a little get together.

The 17th is just around the corner. We are looking forward to the meet and greet at Totems. This will be a great chance for everyone to ask questions and commit to going. This trip is a great time and a ton of fun. Even if you have been to Powell, you havn't experienced it like this!
