In another forum post, we had a few members state that profiles load slow for them. We wanted to get more feedback about this from those of you who are experiencing this problem so we can pinpoint what it is and get it fixed.
On every computer we have tested the site on, everything from an older, slower Windows XP machine to newer, faster computers, the site has performed very quickly and we have not seen the issues mentioned. Therefore, it is hard to troubleshoot something you can't see yourself.
Also, part of the upgrades involved moving to faster servers (for techies: each server has 16 processors and 16 gb of memory on raid disks to put it simply) so we know it's not the hardware.
So if you are experiencing slowness, please describe which areas are slow for you and please list each one if you can. Also, tell us a little about your computer with as much detail about it that you can. Include your internet type and speed and which browser you are using. Also, let us know if you have tried multiple browsers with the same results. The more information you can give us, the better we can fix any issues.

i have found it to be quick and snappy except the pic that are large files... they do tend to load slowly... I have a 5 mbps download speed and run a 64 bit processor, 2 gig or ram with windows xp pro and firefox as the browser of choice...
There are times when the whole profile is just sitting there with nothing but the orange box waiting for things to load... this happened several times today while looking at the birthday list.

6-01-2010 9:30pm we're getting an "408 error report" when clicking from page 3 to page 4 in the birthday's, clicking from the home page to any other page with in the site. from 8
m till now, ... after 3 attemps i finally made it here.
the site has been really slow since the up-grade when you click on a profile and when you click on the pic's it takes 30 to 45 sec. to view the pic's..tonight is the second time we've recieved the 408 error report, same results on both our computers "dell 1545 laptop" wireless hi-speed and our stuido xps 8100 "different internet conection".
if there's 11 pages of birthdays, 30-40% "maybe" of those will boot up right a way, the rest takes 30 sec.-to a minute or so to boot up, a few wont pop up at all,

8:40 pm 6/1/10 I experienced emails loading slowly. Sending a reply message took about a minute for it to send successfully. I'm using an ACER laptop with windows Vista. I used Mozilla web browser with Qwest DSL internet service.
I don't know all the specifics of my computer but I know it's fairly fast and have not had many issues with this site until the last set up upgrades (the chat thing down in the corner)...
Gateway with AMD Turion 64x2 with 4 GB RAM, internet is Qwest 7 mps, Windows Vista and it's slow with FF and IE...
*Edit* Now I'm trying to stay off line and it keeps changing me to online...ggrrr

profiles dont always come up, that little green arrow thing just spins and spins, i can walk of and come back and its still spinning, then other profiles come up ok.
when sending email i push send and the same thing happens it just sits there and i can walk off and go mow the lawn and come back and its still sitting there, so i push refresh and it then sends it but it sends it twice, funny thing is 40% of the emails i get come in duplicates so that tells me this is happening to other people.
the whole site is just so slow it tries my patience.
